Seems like we've been in a drought.
I feel it has been the exact opposite. There are way too many games to get fully immersed in. I actually have tried to go back and play really old games not to mention all of the games I have and never finished. I downloaded Metal Arms and Psychonauts from the XBLM because I never got to play them.
I need infusions of new. Going back to get older games doesn't scratch the itch.
Oh, Crysis 3 is coming out next week. That's neat.
Tyranny of King Washington as well.
That seems to be about it until Tomb Raider next month.
Heard good things about Farcry 3 ('Dood it's Skyrim but with Guns'). I'm having fun with Dota 2 (doesn't cost a dime, I have 5 keys to the beta to give out).
Depends what type of game you're into. What turns your pickle for a game?
Farcry 3 was fun. Really repetitive, IMO.
Hard to answer your question. I generally don't like 3rd person slashers, but I love God of War. If you ask me, I'd say I'm not really into shooters...but Halo4 and Modern Warfare were good times. RPG's used to be my main diet, but aside from the first person versions, good RPGs are hard to come by these days. Quality turn based games just don't exist anymore, which is sad since they are my favorites.
How equipped are you for playing 'classics'.
Did you play Dishonored? That was quite enjoyable.
Play the witcher 2 on xbox360? If not, shame on you.
Aside from the over simplified story, the action and combat in dead space 3 is top notch. Going back for a second and third play through to keep upgrading Isaac guns and armor with game + versions becomes like a loot hunt.
I'm super excited for Metal Gear and I've also been hearing good things about Deadspace 3.
Yes, quite good.
Witcher 2, huh? That may be the ticket.
I've yet to meet anyone who's played the game and been disappointed. It really is refreshing to play a game that knows it's audience is adults and pulls no punches.
I played through Dishonored, then wanted to get some 'ghost' scores, so I play through the first level not killing anyone and not getting seen by anyone, only to have some asshole guard die in the blast of the bomb that you MUST place on the door. I didn't realize it until after I was out of the sewers. One death. Fuck that shit.
Aye, laddie -- 'tis "The Cave" you'll be wantin' ....
The guy who did "Psychonauts" also did the legendary "Maniac Mansion" & "The Secret Of Monkey Island".
"The Cave" s his latest effort.
Here's the website: The Cave
Injustice Gods Among Us
Dead Island Riptide
The Last of Us
Beyond two Souls
I second the Witcher sir. It is one of those games you can play through about 10 times and get a different story.
Anyone played the new Aliens game?
I'm waiting on someone to actually release one that's worth a shit.
Decided I didn't want to wait for Amazon. Hit a couple stores, no Witcher 2. I picked up Arkhan Asylum instead. So far, very happy with my purchase.
What in good glory is Tyranny of King Washington? That's the best name I've heard in a while.
edit: oh I see its AC DLC. I thought someone was making an epic alternate history game.
I just picked up Colonial Marines last night, played about 20 minutes then back in the case. $60 down the shitter. The graphics were almost PS2 quality and the controls sucked.
I didn't even bother with multiplayer or coop.
Not to be harsh but you deserve to get screwed. I havent read one single review of the game that was even middling. At least you admit it and own up to the fact.
True, very true. I bought into the E3 hype and all the previews of it were good. This thread had it #1 anticipated releases http://www.wackbag.com/threads/the-top-30-games-of-2013.148810/.
I didn't read the reviews until after I got the game. Gamespot had it at 4.5 out of 10... (too generous if you ask me)
Not trying to defend myself, just trying to keep others from wasting $60 on this piece of crap
If you liked dishonored try darksiders.. there are 2 out there and weren't very popular. Should be relatively cheap.
I like 'em.
