We're seeing a rise in white-nationalist violence, also in other parts of the world..

On Saturday, a white gunman in his 20s, influenced by the Christchurch attack in March and the shooting in El Paso, stormed a mosque in Oslo, Norway, before a 65-year-old congregation member, Mohammad Rafiq, tackled him and wrestled two shotguns and a pistol away from him. The acting chief of the police investigation said that the suspect held “far right” and “anti-immigrant” views, and spoke fondly of Vidkun Quisling, who lead Norway’s collaborationist government under the Nazis. Though no one was killed in the attack, police found the body of the suspect’s 17-year-old step-sister and are charging the alleged shooter with murder.

From whatever crap news outlet this is from, I love how they point out that the attacker was influenced by previous attacks, while continuing to draw attention to previous attacks.

We are? What are the numbers the last five years compared to this year?
But long before that young man drove to El Paso, Texas, on Aug. 3 and allegedly murdered at least 22 people at a Walmart crammed with back-to-school shoppers, it was clear that white nationalists have become the face of terrorism in America. Since 9/11, white supremacists and other far-right extremists have been responsible for almost three times as many attacks on U.S. soil as Islamic terrorists, the government reported. From 2009 through 2018, the far right has been responsible for 73% of domestic extremist-related fatalities, according to a 2019 study by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). And the toll is growing. More people–49–were murdered by far-right extremists in the U.S. last year than in any other year since the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress in July that a majority of the bureau’s domestic-terrorism investigations since October were linked to white supremacy.

White nationalist domestic terrorism is rising — rethinking how we label it can help the FBI stop it
By Frank Figliuzzi, former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence

It’s time to dismantle the artificial legal wall between domestic and international terrorism and treat all violent ideologies the same .

It’s time to rethink how we label terrorism. In congressional testimony two weeks ago, Christopher Wray, the Trump-appointed director of our FBI, explained that the threat of white nationalist violence appears to be rising. Between October and June, there were about 100 arrests of domestic terrorism suspects — and if that trend continues, the total for 2019 will exceed the previous year, when there were about 120 cases. Wray added, “We, the FBI, don’t investigate ideology, no matter how repugnant… When it turns to violence, we’re all over it.”

There's nothing you posted that shows it is on the rise. Do you have any real stats?

More people are probably murdered over parking spot disputes every year.

Notice how so many of these so called right wing extremists agree with a lot of progressive doctrine, like 'free' healthcare including this El Paso guy but they call him a right wing extremist because of immigration comments. Even though open borders and free trade are classically right wing doctrine.

Richard Spencer is just more blunt about what he wants than Bernie is. Spencer says socialist ideas can work but only in a country that is vast majority white. When Bernie talks about supposed successful socialist countries he always points to countries that are 90% Caucasian.

They both hate minorities and religion, the difference is Spencer's group is more honest about it. Communists are just patient enough wait until they are in charge.

That's one hot summer weekend in Chicago worth of people.

Wait a sec, hold on. I gotta do a bit of math here, what's 3/5 of 50? I forgot the "N" factor. :)

Only when they actually, literally declare themselves to be white nationalists.
If the criteria involved literal self-identification as white nationalists, then the number of murders committed by white nationalists would drop below that of a rounding error in the murder stats.

Even stretching as far as to call Eliot "The Supreme Gentleman" Rodger a "white supremacist"(and they actually do stretch that ludicrously far) the number of "hate crime" murders committed by "white supremacists" is still vanishingly small.

This has been spinning around the intertoobs.

Clearly white supremacist propaganda.

Snopes tried to throw some leftist spin on it, but even they couldn't spin it hard enough to wring the politically-incorrect hurtfulness out.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/mass-shooter-shooting-mugshots/

They decided it was necessary to filter out certain criteria, because reasons...
definition excluded gang-, drug-, or organized crime-related shootings.
But, even after all the scrubbing and whitewashing, they still couldn't get it to paint the picture of the "Crazed gun-loving whitey peckerwood literal Nazis" that they wanted to see, and a wishy washy "sorta not true if you squint and tilt your head" was the best they could do.

What's True
The meme was a broadly accurate representation of the identities of known suspects in 2019 incidents in the U.S. that fell under one relatively broad definition of a "mass shooting."

What's False
The meme did not accurately represent the profiles of suspects under several other definitions of a "mass shooting."

Long story short...sure this is a picture of mass shooters, but it's not an accurate picture of our definition of mass shooters.

U.S. news
FBI arrest Ohio teen for online threats and find 25 firearms, 10,000 rounds of ammo
Authorities allege Justin Olsen, 18, made online threats under the name "ArmyOfChrist" against federal authorities and Planned Parenthood.

Aug. 13, 2019

The FBI arrested an 18-year-old from Ohio for making online threats — including against the federal government and Planned Parenthood — and found a large cache of weapons, authorities said.

When agents raided the Boardman, Ohio, house where Justin Olsen was living they recovered 15 rifles, 10 semi-automatic pistols and roughly 10,000 rounds of ammunition, according to a criminal complaint written by FBI Special Agent Themistocles Tsarnas and seen by NBC News.

Olsen, who wrote under the name "ArmyOfChrist," was charged Monday with one count of threatening to assault a federal law enforcement officer.

"ArmyOfChrist discussed supporting mass shootings, and assault and/or targeting of Planned Parenthood," according to Tsarnas.
Assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor Michael McBride decided authorities had to act swiftly on the threats in the wake of the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, NBC affiliate WFMJ reports.

The case against Olsen began earlier this year when FBI agents in Anchorage, Alaska, working in a chat room called "iFunny," found a user named ArmyOfChrist making threatening comments.

That user wrote online that he supported the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 and the shootings of ATF agents at the siege of the Branch Davidians compound in Waco, Texas, in 1993.

"Hell even the Oklahoma City bombing shows that armed resistance is a viable method of political change. There is no legal solution," ArmyofChrist wrote on Aug. 6, according to the complaint. "In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight."

A search of Olsen’s house last Wednesday, where he reportedly lived with his father, turned up a trove of weapons, including 300 rounds of ammunition on a staircase, another 10,000 rounds in a bedroom, 15 rifles including AR-15 style rifles, and 10 semi-automatic pistols, and a machete in Olsen’s car. A search warrant reveals authorities searched Olsen’s property for “hate related literature.”

And of those 50, 25 were heard muttering something mean or wrote something on the internet that someone dredged up from years ago
