It's a little odd that it's a prequel, but it's set present day.

But I enjoyed it and will keep watching.

Even though the writers have come out and said that this isn't necessarily going to lead into the original movie (what's the point, then?), I enjoy the references to it.

I didn't know they were going in that direction. Reminds me a bit of the whole new Star Trek movie franchise, in that the alternate timeline gives them some creative freedom

How could a modern day show (I haven't seen it yet, but I did see earbuds in a preview) lead to a 1960s movie. It's like those people who say that Skyfall/Craig series is the prequel to the original Bond 20.

my dad saw the original Psycho when it first came out in 1960.

he would always talk about how the scene where Janet Leigh gets stabbed to death in the shower scared the crap out of him when he first saw it at the movies.

we watched the show together and we're hooked on it. going to be fallowing it.

What a nice rape kit that fellow had looked like it was pieced to together from years of experience.

Finally got around to watching this, was way behind on my other shows. Watching the pilot now... is it worth sticking around for the entire season? I guess it's only ten hours of my time if not.

Yeah. I liked it. The mom can get annoying, but it's pretty good.
