Meltzer reports: Spike TV today announced that starting on Saturday night, all the Bellator undercard matches from 7-9 p.m. Eatern time will stream live on the Spike.com web site. The main matches will air live on MTV 2 and in HD on EPIX. It has long been rumored and even expected that Bellator would be moving from MTV 2 to Spike in January, when UFC moves to FOX and FX. Another hint is that Eddie Alvarez, Bellator's lightweight champion, will be appearing on TNA Impact Thursday night to promote the new season, and there have been ads for Bellator's new season all over Spike the past few weeks. MTV 2 and Spike are under the same Viacom umbrella, but the promotion of Bellator on Spike has been significant the past several weeks. Officially, neither side will confirm this and Bjorn Rebney of Bellator notes that they have a multi-year deal with the MTV 2 network. Spike never streamed live UFC fights in the past.
