Looking forward to it. Dana and one of the Fertitta brothers came to Toms River to sign the contract with Frankie and they were not happy about it. They really wanted him to drop down, but they kinda owe him this. Hoping he can land with more damage to avoid any close decisions like last fight.

Would much rather see Frankie drop down, but he earned this, and I hope he wins.

I want to see Edgar as the first 3 division champ

155, 145, 135

Just last week Dana said the fight wasn't going to happen at UFC 150, but between Nate's win, Frankie's injury (rumor is broken nose) Bendo's tweet ("Another 3-a-day-practice today...I'm ready to rock & roll @danawhite, #justsayin, I ain't scared homie...#winkwink, your call tho boss") it looks like the UFC gave Frankie an ultimatum, either fight at UFC 150 or Nate is fighting Bendo.

Because he won or tied & he had to keep giving rematches he didn't want

OWED
For being such tough guys, fighters really are divas.

There is a lot of shit at my job I don't want to do, but the boss says do it and I do it.

I'm sure there are guys in the nfl that have friends on other teams and they line up against each other and go. Why? Because thats what they get paid for.

You don't want to fight who the boss says to fight? Drop your title, give back the money and go work at fucking Denny's.

I though Maynard deserved a rematch since the first title fight was a draw. It wasn't even a "fucking judges suck" draw, I had it a draw, and a lot of other people had it a draw.

On the other hand, I thought that Edgar CLEARLY beat BJ the first time and that BJ hadn't earned a rematch. (the rematch pretty much proved that, too)

BJ got a rematch because of his name, popularity, and because those two things resulted in a lot of people saying he won the fight and was robbed due to their inability to look at it objectively.

I didn't even think the first fight was close, I thought Edgar clearly won it either 4-1, or 3-2. There was one round I scored for Edgar, that I could see going for BJ, but the other 3 I had clearly going Edgar's way.

The issue is that since they gave BJ a rematch based on "controversial" judging, they HAD to give Edgar one since it is a lot easier to say Edgar got robbed than it was to say BJ got robbed.

I think that Bendo won the fight, I don't think it was a bad decision even though I think it WAS closer than the first BJ fight.

And none of this pertains to or is the equivalent of professional fighting or this match in particular.

Yeah, it actually does.

Edgar feels he owed this fight because he didn't think he should have had to fight BJ again, and didn't want to fight Grey again either.

He isn't owed shit, the boss said do it, the boss signs the paycheck. If you don't like what the boss says to do, get a new job.

Edgar clearly got beat by Bendo. There wasn't a controversy. Get back in line, or lose 10 pounds and get an instant title shot at 135. If you don't like that, go somewhere else.

Edgar deserves a rematch more than BJ did.

The "boss" can't force him to move down in weight, they are more like contractors than employees.

Also, I know math is hard, but 155 - 10 = 145 not 135

No problem.

for an analogy. Frankie is a lightweight.

Let's say he was a contractor you hired to do drywall. He is one of the 3 best drywall contractors in the world.

He's doing a great job on your drywall, but you have some electrical work you need done too.

The Drywall contractor says, look, i could probably do it, but I'm a drywall contractor, so I'd rather stick to that and you can get an electrical contractor for the electric work.

By your logic, you should fire him for doing what he does well.

It's more like having the 1 and 2nd best drywaller competing for the job, and when the second best actually does the best, the other guy demanding another chance.

And you saying, look this guy did a better job on my drywall, if you want a shot a doing my electrical thats great, ill let you try it, but if you want some more drywall work, you have to wait until I need it in another room.
