I've got a gig in Richmond spinning some jam band stuff once or twice a month. I'm more of a newgrass/Phish/Galactic-type listener and have never gotten into the Dead... well the guy who sent out the press release stated I was spinning a Dead show on Saturday and it's too late to change it, so... anyone got any preferences as to what they think was the best early Dead show? I'm pulling down 7/1/73 now and it looks rather tight.
Any other suggestions?

ive always enjoyed chicago 77, if you can get it. great quality recording, with donna godchaux on backing vocals.

also binghamton 70 and palo alto 73 are excellent.
