The only drawback is, you have to walk around looking like a retart.

I have issues with earbuds and the full size....both of them hurt my ears after a while.

With these, it feels like I'm wearing nothing. I forget they are on all the time. And the sound quality is amazing.

So why did they have the bosses' retarted 5 year old design the look of them, who knows.

Meh.. I got the Bose ones for free when I worked for Best Buy Corp.

They're much more expensive, but some nice headphones.

Well... Sure, those are great headphones and all, but they cost nearly ten times as much as these Koss headphones do, and this thread is titled "Best inexpensive headphones ever". At least the entry-level Bose in-ears are in the same ballpark, ringing in at only TWICE as expensive (but running all the way up to something like $400 for other models).

They were free for me. :p

Yeah, yeah, yeah... :)

In any case, those PortaPros sounded amazing back in the day. That they're still making them is probably testament that they're STILL great-sounding headphones, at a bargain price no less, even if they're ugly as sin.

The best part of those Koss headphones was that store cost on those fuckers is like $18.00. We sold them to the nigs all day long at the Wiz and made $10.00 a pair commision on them.

We even sold them service contracts for another $9.95 for two years. Dumb spooks
