I know it's kind of a gay subject but I'm sure there are some romantic movies people like. As Valentine's Day is coming up, tomorrow, I thought I'd ask this.

Any romantic movies you'd like to recommend?

Casablanca is the obvious. I'd like to throw out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fountain (really shows how life affirming and life destroying even good love can be), It Happened One Night and His Girl Friday.

The Shape of Things is also really good but brutal.

Kärlekens språk

(Yes, it's a real movie. But it's featured in a movie that everyone here should know. I had to use imdb to find it though)

Best Romantic Comedy I ever saw was How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Another movie that I found surprisingly romantic in a good way was Bruce Almighty. I agree with 50 First Dates, as well. The least annoying movie Adam Sandler and Drew Berrymore ever made, alone or together.

For non-comedies, I guess I'll say Before Sunrise.

50 First Dates wasn't that good, but The Wedding Singer is classic.

Woody Allen is the closest I can come to watching "romance"

and his newer stuff like Anything Else, and Match Point is underrated.

I'll admit I enjoyed that one as well. My chick is really into anything British so I've seen this and tons of those era movies too. The best of those I thought was Sense and Sensability. Ang Lee's direction and Alan Rickman's performance are fucking brilliant.
