I'm downloading Kobe doin work and Broad street bullies. I heard good things about them and Kobe and Gasol were great that season (08-09).

Beyond the mat about the WWF with Mick Foley is probably my favorite documentary.

From Chicago(?), and no Hoop Dreams?

King we include "The King of Kong", because it's the greatest documentary of all time... And if driving around, poker, and spelling are sports, arcade games are

Like Absolutely said, Hoop Dreams if you haven't seen it, it's fantastic. There was an HBO one about the Miracle on Ice team that came out in the 90's (I think) that was pretty great, I can't remember the exact title. Murderball and Tyson are both really good.

Can anyone tell me if When We Were Kings is worth watching? I always hear people say that it's great but I have a hard time caring about Ali and boxing in general.

As someone who hates the NBA I was totally infatuated watching Hoop Dreams - all 3 hours of it.
When We Were Kings was really good, but then again I like boxing.
The 30 for 30's about 6/17/94, the Two Escobars, and Bartman were all excellent. Actually most of the ones I saw were decent.

Look for the thread about 30 for 30: The U. The thread talks about that one and a bunch of other ones in the series.

HBO's The "Thrilla In Manila" and "Do You Believe In Miracles"? are just a couple of the great documentaries that they have done.

8.7 on IMDB 92% on RT

If you want some background, watch this Top Gear doc.

I saw it in the theatre a couple months ago... There were points durning the driving I found myself breathless. Great doc, well worht the 2 hours. This is when the F1 cars were faster and more dangerous than they are now. They didn't have the safe walls and all the safety equipment they have now.... It's amazing... It takes brass balls to drive like this.

Pretty much any of the 30 for 30 docs are good, but The Band that Wouldn't Die is great. The Jordan one where he's playing baseball was also good.
