    I duct taped a wifi antenna to the middle of a pot and propped it up to improve the signal at one point. Also a good option is getting a wire strainer from an oriental food shop and attaching the antenna to the handle of that.

    You can also build a nice waveguide antenna from a Pringles can.

    you could also save yourself the hassle and fold a piece of aluminum foil...same thing without the razor sharp edges
