C.P.L has been arrested and charged with extortion and embezzlement.

The Extortion charge comes from him attempting to bilke Nike out of $15 million dollars in exchange for him not to release damaging information about them.

The other charges stem from several of his other business ventures.

My God what a glorious day. I mean just when I thought it couldn't ge better. BAM! Creepy porn Lawyer is arrested yet again. Wow!

Of course, he is innocent until proven guilty and we must extend C.P.L the courtesy of the benefit of the doubt until All the evidence is put forth.

I'm too lazy to post a link.

Technically, yes, but he doesn't deserve lenience in that regard due to the way he tried to fuck Kav.

Geragos’ website bio describes him as “the only lawyer besides Johnnie Cochran ever named ‘Lawyer of the Year’ in both Criminal and Civil arenas.”

I wonder if he will win Defendant of the year. He has stiff competition, Cohen and C.P.L.

Do you know how much of a douche lawyer you have to be to out-douche Cohen?

The same office that charged CPL in New York is also investigating The Donald.

I'm not saying that bodes well for Trump, but the timing couldn't have been more opportune, and the fact that their going after one of his enemies is encouraging.

It's also Rudy Giuliani's old office, so...

And of course now he's blaming Trump for the LA indictment. I guess it was Trump's fault that he stole settlement funds from a client.

So Avenatti was released on bail and STILL broke the news that Nike paid DeAndre Ayton at Arizona.

Fun fact: ESPN broke the story a year ago. So Avenatti was arrested for blackmailing a company that was outed last year by ESPN for doing what they're accused of.

This guy is special.

This only gets better. Imagine stealing from your paraplegic client.

https://www.theepochtimes.com/attor...f-embezzlement-fraud-tax-evasion_2875859.html

According to the indictment, Avenatti embezzled money from five of his clients and shuffled the money to cover up the theft.
In one of these cases, Avenatti represented Geoffrey Johnson, a paraplegic on disability, against the County of Los Angeles where a $4 million settlement was reached in 2015. Prosecutors said Avenatti received the settlement but hid it from Johnson and used the money to pay for his coffee business and other personal expenses. Meanwhile, he only gave Johnson periodic “advances” of no more than $1,900 and paid for his rent.
The indictment also stated that Avenatti received $2.75 million in proceeds for settlement but hid that from another client. He then allegedly took $2.5 million from the settlement and used it to purchase a portion of a jet.

Jesus, what a piece of shit. Also, how was money laundering not one of the charges if he moved money to cover his tracks?
