What you may ask does this measure do and mean porn industry?
  • The proposed measure would send new government inspectors, at full salary and with benefits, to porn sets to check up on whether pornstars are using not only condoms, but rubber gloves, goggles, and lab coats.
  • It would also take the LA county public health officials away from their outpatient clinics, flu clinics, and other county public health services in order to keep an eye on porn sets.

Is it even something that is really necessary?

  • The porn industry has rigorous and frequent testing for HIV and STI’s. There have been no cases of HIV infection in the last eight years. In fact, passing this measure could create a health threat by driving the industry underground, with no reliable testing and less likeliness of the current practices being enforced.
  • The adult porn industry has one of the most aggressive and comprehensive testing and reporting programs in the country. The porn industry acts swiftly and responsibly in shutting down production nationwide at even a hint of a HIV positive test result.

Hey, California Wackbaggers, vote No for me
Keep condoms out of my pornz

Condoms...

Oh, just LA? I haven't really delved that deep into it. Just the porno-chicks I follow on Twitter keep posting VOTE NO ON PROP B.
So I checked it out, kind of.

Really, can't they just move a town over and film then?

California has shown over and over that it would prefer to have a nanny state than a strong economy. They do everything possible to drive businesses and jobs out of the state.

It's for L.A. County, but yeah I'd imagine they can just move into the next county and film there. I haven't really read up on it much.

That's why they are the fifth largest economy in the world....

The porn industry has already been moving it operations into NV because of this nonsense.

Good job CA, you can't pay your bills so why not push another huge tax paying industry out of your state.

If this does pass, and they do mange to keep some of the pr0n industry, all the cop school rejects will be filling the ranks of the Porn Police.

What a clusterfuck that will be.

No, 50 million people and massive amounts of natural resources are the reason, not this nanny state bullshit.
Yup, California is successful in spite of our elected officials. I live in the middle of the largest redwood forest in the world (I believe), and we have two mills open in our county (use to be dozens) and our shipping logs into our bay from South America, largely due to the obnoxious restrictions placed on logging operations here.

California is a fucking embarrassment. They look to government for solutions before they do anything else. It's practically a reflex.

I remember reading on another site that this law always been on the books, but nobody was actually following it and no one was really enforcing it either. I also read that if passed, the major porn studios would just start filming more in Nevada and I think Arizona as well.

I could also sworn we have had this discussion before.

no need, they just need to go over the border of L.A. County.

Los Angeles is a BIG place. Lots of areas in the major metro area that arent in the county.
