More people are moving out of the state than into the state, a new Census report shows.

By Olga Spilewsky and Conan Nolan

About 100,000 more people moved away from California in 2011 than relocated to the Golden State, according to the latest report from the U.S. Census Bureau.
The trend can be explained, in part, in monetary terms. Even in an economic boom, the cost of living in California has increased, prompting people to move out, and, in recent years, unemployment in the state has skyrocketed.

So, where are these former Californians going?

The Census Bureau calculates that the most popular destination is Texas (58,992), a state that is luring California companies. That’s followed by Arizona (49,635), Nevada (40,114), Washington (38,421) and Oregon (34,214).

Although in smaller numbers, people are still relocating to the Golden State.

Texans make up the largest number of translates to California with 37,387 people, according to the report. That is followed by people from Washington (36,481), Nevada (36,159), Arizona (35,650), and New York (25,269).

Economic experts are optimistic that California’s economy has started picking up steam, and may reverse the movement out of the state.

“We expect over the next couple of years that we will add jobs,” said Robert Kleinhenz, chief economist with the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation. "This year, we’ve added jobs in California at a faster pace than in the nation as a whole. So, we are moving in right direction. As that happens, we’ll see the migration numbers turn around some."

A major facet of the state's economy, the agriculture industry has been affected by fewer undocumented immigrants crossing the border, deterred from coming to the U.S. because of high unemployment and a developing middle class in Mexico.

According to the Census Bureau, 468,428 people have moved to California from other states and 269,772 have moved to the state from other countries.
Texas will be blue in a few years. Progressives destroy California with their socialist nonsense and then move on to a new state to destroy it. They are like a parasite. It doesn't mention Colorado but I know a lot of Californians have moved here.

California is the first state to go with Obama's cap and trade scam. Spain was the first country to go along with cap and trade, I doubt if cap and trade will work out any better for California than it did for Spain.

It was like Kirk was at a news desk spewing his normal drek and all of a sudden, THP is there. Only its just his waist in the shot while be says 'No, keep talking. I'm just going to plow you with no lube. Here, bite down on this old gym sock I found if it gets to be too much.' Kirk of course takes the sock sheepishly as he knows he's outmatched.

White people who have jobs that aren't government jobs and are sick and tired of the regulation burden, PC oppression and tax sodomization.

From 1985 to 2005 the state added 10 million people. In that same time Medicaid enrollment increased by 7 million people, the prison population increased by 115,000 people and the state had a net gain of 150,000 tax payers, the majority of whom work for the state or federal government or get government contracts.

That is why California is in the shitter. Because Mexico. Because Big Government.

the problem is they VOTE for this bullshit and when it destroys their state they just move to another and start the whole process again. It's like a plague. They have been flooding to CO for years now.

How do you vote for liberal policies, see those policies bankrupt your state, and then go right back and vote for it again!?

Well, there is the smugness. I think they do it for self serving reasons but one of the reasons that cannot be overlooked is their idea that everybody is wrong, not them, because they are morally and mentally superior to the people who "just don't get it."

They relish laughing in the face of race reality and economic fact to do the "right" things with other people's rights and money. They are insulated from the negative outcomes and have reasoned that there are enough states in the nation that they can flee to and once again spit in the face of experience and logic to perfect their experiment.

Liberals actively worked to make California into North Mexico. They didn't like North Mexico so they left. They decided to turn Colorado into Center Mexico and Texas is an area in Mexico where White people live now.

They really have themselves convinced that if the evil conservatives would just stand aside and let their policies work, then everything would be just fine.

But since the "ignorant right" fights them the policies don't work right and they have to try again somewhere else.

Never their fault, ever.

Without a Big Government, how can we fix all the things Big Government broke, though? California has more than 300,000 getting paid nearly 70 grand a year. The answer is more of them making more money.

Any demographics of who is actually moving?
The proportion of Californians who had moved here from out of state reached a 100-year low of about 20% in 2010, and the decade measured by the most recent census was the first in a century in which the majority of Californians were native-born.

The demographics of California today more closely resemble those of 1900 than of 1950: It is a mostly home-grown population, whose future depends on the children of immigrants and their children, said William Frey, a demographer and senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

"We used to say California, here we come," said Frey. "That now has flipped."

Experts point to various causes of the turnaround, most of them rooted in a flagging economy. But exorbitant housing prices — too high for many struggling Californians despite a burst housing bubble — still play a role.

"There's a lot of concern about driving out working-class families," said Hans Johnson of the Public Policy Institute of California.

It was a different world in the 1950s and '60s, when roughly half of Californians were drawn from other states by jobs and by visions of crystalline blue skies in January and beach parties in September. The state's shining image was burnished by a public relations machine that pushed attractive suburban real estate and a wide-open field for business.

As domestic immigration slowed between 1970 and 2000, foreign immigration filled in the gap. But since 2000, even the state's once-growing immigrant population has been frozen at 27% of total residents. Since at least 2005, more residents have left California than arrived here from other states.

Yet these are the same fuckholes who come to your state and do nothing but trash your state.
Oh, Wisconsin isn't like California. What tipped you off? Was it the 5 million Germans or was it the snow bank?

They try to convince you California was so great. Well, what are you doing in Racine, Bryce? Leave. Tell your story as you cross the state line. Again.
New Jersey and New York tools are the same way. Anybody who is a registered Democrat from those nanny states should only be allowed to contaminate each other's states.

What? You linked to an article that proved my point. Non-whites are outbreeding the White natives 9-1. They have majority-minority births. For every White added there were 7 Hispanics. Hispanic population growth went up nearly 50 percent in just one decade. They will soon have a majority under-18 non-White population. The public schools are overwhelmingly non-White. The voting age break down is already against Texas. The state is realistically 8 years away from voting for a Democrat, presumably a non-White. I know. Tss, tss, they're about to vote for Pedro or sumthin' tss tss.

The same "liberal" policies have done a lot worse than just bankrupt a government, throughout the 20th century.

But understanding the connection requires abstract thought. Pragmatism (http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/pragmatism/) is a philosophical movement that rejects the use of abstract principles in ethics and politics. American progressives (on both sides) are the political wing of Pragmatism.

The only difference is that Democrats also have a touch of Marxism sprinkled into their ideology, while Republicans added a little religion. But they're both mainly pragmatists. That's why they're so similar.
