I was doing a few things tonight and wasn't really paying attention to what
was on the tube. A show came on called "Just for Laughs".
It's a Candid Camera ripoff so I just let it run as I always enjoyed the original.

I'm half looking at it and see something get blurred out by a guy's hand. I figure
he's flipping someone the bird for being caught in one of these pranks.
No biggie, been done before. Then I see it again by someone's face and I
realize that they are blurring out cigarettes.

Now I don't smoke (used to but I quit) but this is just retarded. People need
to get a grip. While I agree smoking is bad for you, this just annoys the hell
out of me. Stop it already! I'm sure some jackass at the network decided it
was in the best interests of "the children", but fuck you, let people make that
choice and raise their kids properly. This country really is fucking doomed.

Now I remember why I rarely watch tv. It just sucks ass.

Are you sure it was just cigarettes they were blurring out? Obviously that would be outrageous, but if they were illicit drugs of some sort, I could understand that I guess.

Note: I think I'm just trying to rationalize here.

Definately cigarettes. There was a shot of an older guy in his car with one
hanging out of his mouth and several more. They were all in very public
places so it was no doubt that they were just blurring out cigs.

What the fuck are these people thinking? So now the kids don't get influenced by seeing some guy smoking on TV. Instead they see something obviously blurred out and are more interested in it than if they'd seen a simple fucking cigarette.

I have seen cigarrettes blurred out in shows with certain ratings..like Family ...Cigarrettes for a period of time were not allow to have had a draw taken off of them on camera...like the early 80's..then once the tv rating system..came in certain shows were allowed. Most family shows do not..and I believe Just for Laughs is mostly done in countries other than the USA.

Not censored and I'm not going to get reprimanded by the mods. It's so search engines don't trigger this site when you search for the "N" word.

Not sure why we can't replace "G's" with "Q's" though.
