Ultimate X Magnum Extreme

The Extreme Edition, with MS XP or Vista Ultimate, is based on Intel’s Quad Core QX6850 Processor (1333MHz FSB). Housed in Gigabyte’s 3D Mercury with a Built-In liquid cooling system, it also boasts of 1.3KW of raw power from ABS Certified Tagan PSU. Gaming will never be the same with this beast as it has a dual ATI Radeon HD 2900XT in a Crossfire mode. 2GB of DDR3 1600 Dual Channel Memory seals the deal for this Dream Machine. Starting at $3,199.00, there is no Gaming Rig better, pound-per-pound.

Nice but the ATi cards just can't touch the 8800GTX Ultras in SLi mode. Hell, I don't think they will outdo the ultra in single card mode.

Still, a very sweet rig indeed.

apparently, once the nvidia G98 Gpu's are out and tested thoroughly, they will be putting those into this model.

It's certainly impressive as of this second, but in 8 months it will be embarrassingly weak and will have depreciated by $3100.

You could build a pretty solid system from components for probably less than $1000. Those high priced systems are aimed at dummies who don't know what to do with their money.
