You mean it already wasn't? And umm how about you base it per capita... then it gets really scary... Actually New Orleans is worse at 57.88 per 100,000 and is the only US city in the Top 50 cities with the highest per capita murder rates... well for 2011. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_murder_rate Chicago is 18.7 per 100,000...
Per capita, Chicago is 9th or 10th in murders..so I'm not worried. Mostly 'cause I haven't worked on the Sout side for several years.
happening now IL | CHICAGO |**SHOOTING**| 1801 W WOOD ST | U/D TOTAL OF 10 PATIENTS, 7 RED, 1 YELLOW, 2 GREEN. 1 PATIENT REPORTED TO BE CHILD. THIS SHOOTING OCCURRED AT THE BASKETBALL COURT
It's also a full Moon. It'll get worse. Not for me, howeverz, I don't have a Bassetball hoop up anymore.
Chicago does not have a gun problem. It has a black and hispanic male violence problem. The city is roughly 1/3 black, white and hispanic and just look at the disparity in the murder numbers over 20 years
