Because there's never enough hockey. What teams are you supporting?

My teams: Kennesaw State University Ice Owls (ACHA-D2), University of Georgia Ice Dogs (ACHA-D3), and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (ACHA-D3). (We don't have any NCAA teams here unfortunately.)

I think I'm going to pick three NCAA teams to support too. I'm sure the colleges I choose to support will be picked based on absolute trivia.

It's hard to start a conversation about so broad a topic. Humor me.

Here is what I got for teams: RIT (D-1), SUNY Brockport (SUNYAC D-3), and my team since I was a kid Boston U. Plan on going to a few RIT games.

Last good year of college hockey before the super conferences start up and start shafting the small schools again I think, but we will have to see

I've chosen an NCAA team to support.

Boston University Terriers (Division I) - Jim Craig, Jack O'Callahan, Mike Eruzione, and Dave Silk from the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team played for the Terriers. That counts for something.

M-A-I-N-E Gooooo Blue! University of Maine Black Bears. Best travelling crowd in college hockey as well. Nothing like seeing the look on peoples faces in Boston when the bus loads of backwoods hicks in flannel fill the Garden up for the Hockey East finals.

I don't have a particular team I pull for, but I check out the Frozen Four tournament whenever it comes on. Last couple of years, it's been some good hockey.

And that's more than I watch college football. Which is hardly ever.

    Overdue bump.

I just checked the win-loss records for my team(s). One of them is looking exceptional.

    Kennesaw State University (My team)
    11-0-0

    Georgia Tech
    7-6-0

    University of Georgia
    2-2-0

KSU is 16-0-0 after today's game. That's incredible.

they play shit club hockey schools (they are privately funded non school sanctioned teams) put them up against any D1 school and they would go maybe at best 3-13. still undefeated is pretty impressive

They were considering bumping up to D-1 a few years ago (around the time they won a national title). They decided against it because the cost would be too much for what is essentially a gamble on whether or not they'd be able to return the investment.

So, are you actually watching these games or just checking the standings once a week? Seems kinda silly to randomly pick a bunch of teams and then only know if they won/lost by looking up results once a week.

They weren't randomly picked at all. I'm keeping tabs on pretty much all hockey going on in metro Atlanta (excluding beer league and the like, although I have no problem going to watch those games either). Anyway, I've been wanting to go out and watch all this shit, but planning takes a while in my current circumstances. I have at least one KSU game and one or two Gwinnett Gladiators games tentatively scheduled, though.
