He will probably be fine unless he manages to win....

If he does win, I want him to either give the Rocky IV speech, or run into the crowd like Aldo did....

Meltzer said that the hold-up on the announcement is the stadium they want to use has a noise ordinance & since the main event will go on at 2am in front of 60,000+ screaming lunatics they cannot OK it yet - I am sure money will be thrown at the government but those are the issues

UFC makes official announcement of Sonnen vs. Silva
UFC sent out a press release annoucing UFC 147 at Joao Havelange Stadium in Rio de Janiero, Brazil on 6/23, one week later than the original date for the show.

Dana White claimed this would be the biggest sports event of the year, bigger than the NFL and the NBA (I guess not realizing this summer is the Olympics). The show will be headlined by Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen, Vitor Belfort vs. Wanderlei Silva and the finals of the first season of Ultimate Fighter Brazil.

White said the show would beat the 55,724 fan record set on April 30, 2011, for the Georges St. Pierre vs. Jake Shields fight at Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Joao Havelange Stadium is listed as having a capacity of 46,000 for soccer, but they can likely get 8-9,000 more seats on the floor.
