Deadwood set

I was watching TV last night and noticed that the new dodge cummins commercial was filmed on a western-y type set. I rewound my DVR and almost shit myself when I noticed it was the Deadwood set. I know we have some Deadwood fans on here so I figured they might get a kick out of seeing it alive and well on TV again.

Maybe it is part of it, but I heard it was being taken down when they had Timothy Olyphant on promoting Hitman.

I dunno, I've watched it several times and they are right in front of the Bella Union and The Gem. I was pretty damn sure they were taking it down too though which is why I even bothered to post it.

I heard they dismantled the sets too, that was why any movies to close out the series was impossible after one point.

if you watch the first episode of the twilight zone, they use the same set as hill valley in back to the future.

While doing some research I found the place they filmed the show: http://www.melodyranchstudio.com/thetown.html called the melody ranch in Santa Clarita.

I guess the Deadwood production team basically took the whole space and used it to film the show. When they were done, they left the heart of the set up and removed all the peripheral buildings (Alma's house, Bullock's house, etc.).

I still miss this fucking show.

They must have hosed down the streets and created mud and shit, because those sets look like they are in a desert.
