I'm going to pre-order the Collector's Edition today after work. Looks like a must have for action gamers and it doesn't matter which system you buy it for, they are identical except for load times (PS3 version loads faster because you can install to the HDD).

I played DMC1, but not 2 or 3...not like the storyline is anything complex though. Guess I can pick up 2 and 3 today while I pre-order 4. ;)

I preordered 4....got it for the 360...
1up.com is actually recommending the PS3 version of DMC4 over the 360 version for a number of reasons. Looks better, plays better, 5.1 LPCM, and hard drive installation. About time the PS3 gets the better version.

Edit: I rewatched the videoclip and 1up.com also prefers DMC4 over the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 2.

I'll rent the game for shits and giggles, but I can't play the games. They're too hard. The first one I got pretty far, but could never finish it. I finished the 2nd one, but later found out people complained it was way too easy; then I felt worthless because I thought I was better than I was.

Then 3 returned to being hard as hell. I'd imagine 4 will continue this and stick with the hard difficulty.

Yeah I find it mad hard also...I usually only buy games with great online multiplayer like cod 4, halo 3, rainbow six ect ect.. but I think I might buy this just cuz DMC is an awesome franchise...

I don't know why people think DMC3 is hard. I find Ninja Gaiden WAAAYYY harder than DMC3, or even DMC. The only part I got really hooked up on was the sword bosses and the big freaky beast that gives the gauntlets.. and maybe the boss rush near the end of the game, BUT THAT'S IT... everything else was Air Juggling w/ Swordmaster... Moved on to Trickster past harder difficulties.

I don't find either of them hard, but maybe that's me...I might get it on PS3 then, it would be nice to use my PS3 for more then a movie player..

It's already an anime, quite a few episodes in japan (of course). The SE of DMC4 will include the first 4 episodes.

Oh shit.. you're right. I just checked the thing I had read and it said that it was coming to DVD in the U.S. in February. ADV is doing the release.

In Japan, they have an anime of just about everything that is buyable. It's how they market things over there.

If they are both similar and not a whole lot of difference I will make this the first game I get on PS3 instead of the 360...I heard it runs better on the PS3 so thats a plus...

Played the Demo, and it just looks awesome. The controls really don't differ that much from DMC3, at least to a vet of the series. The Lock-On button (Right Bumper) might take a while to get used to, but it won't be long before you feel comfortable with it.

Difficulty wise.. I'm probably a little rusty, but from what i heard they lowered the difficulty (thanks noobs...) a bit.

In a nutshell - Demo made me cumsies
