The African Dream
Pariah director Dee Rees has been tapped to adapt Martian Time-Slip, based on Philip K. Dick's 1964 sci-fi novel about a schizophrenic repairman living in a human colony on Mars.

Deadline reports that Rees will also pen the screenplay, with Dick's daughter, Isa Dick Hackett, producing for Electric Shepherd Productions.

The production company, run by Dick's children, previously produced The Adjustment Bureau and is also in development on Disney's animated adaptation of The King of the Elves.

Philip K. Dick has the most books turned into movies, next to Steven King.

i'd still like to see an Ubik movie.

Dick actually wrote a screenplay for a Ubik movie, but the studio never got around to making it. Can't say I heard of this one, but its a safe bet reality is questioned in some way.
