How is this a big deal?

How can you not know what Hank Williams jr thinks of Little Barry?

But they had no problem with one of their radio affiliates having a good laugh with Mike Tyson as he joked about r@ping Sarah Palin two weeks ago...

Since I'm not going to be watching this shitty game I'm just curious what they're going to play in it's place.

I remember in the mid 90's for like 1 year there was someone different opening every game

Indeed.

Says ESPN, in a statement: "While Hank Williams Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize he is closely linked to our company through the opening to Monday Night Football. We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result have decided to pull the open from tonight's telecast."
Sanctimonious assholes. God I really hate ESPN.

I'm not surprised and I think it's the entirely wrong thing to say...he shouldn't be compared Hitler. A better comparison would be a poor man's Jimmy Carter...maybe a wannabe Karl Marx that doesn't have the balls to force America into socialism. Had he said that, he would've been in the clear.

From different point of view, how fucking clueless do you have to be to use Hitler as a reference at this point. It's not going to end well.

A friend of mine thinks Hank was drunk. I could see that.

He is a country singer. Does it get more clueless than that aside from a pop star?

So they drop the country thing to show some random guys from some shitty 90s era band singing the anthem? ESPN is so hateable.

Hyperbole is now against the law.

And honestly, if I remember analogies and the SATS, saying Boehner and Obama playing golf is like Hitler and Netanyahu, wouldn't that technically make Boehner, Hitler?

They'll probably hire Pearl Jam...or make the now-unemployed Michael Stipe write a couple catchy tunes.

Hitler was a leftist radical.

Obama is a leftist radical.

Any questions?

He will be back next week. I doubt anyone outside ESPN even gives a shit.
