UPDATE: June 9, 2012 12:55 P.M. EST
According to BrowardPalmBeach.com, “the Secret Service is aware of this incident and will conduct appropriate follow-up,” said spokesman Brian Leary.

In an exclusive interview, Pastor Jones said that he had been contacted by Secret Service twice and he never considered “race” when hanging a Black man from a noose:
“”We are not looking at him as a black man. He is not black; he is not white; he is the president of the

United States,” he said. “And the noose, of course, was to represent the death of his presidency and political career. Not at all to represent his race… His race has absolutely nothing to do with it.”

Florida pastor Terry Jones, best known for his Islamophobic burning of Korans has now simulated the “lynching” of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama.

In an explosive, vile, racist rant filled with propaganda and half-truths, Jones attacks Obama for being “Anti-American, anti-Christian,” and for “killing babies” in reference to reproductive rights. He speaks of the nation’s deficit, our continued involvement in Afghanistan and Obama’s alleged support of “radical Islam” — whatever that loaded, bigoted and factually inaccurate phrase is supposed to mean. Jones says that he is “hanging [Obama] high as a symbol of what America needs to do.”

Jones is pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center, reports the Washington Post. His 29-year-old son, Luke, made it clear when they burned the Koran on a grill outside of their church that not much intelligent thought went into the demonstration.

“We’re not big debaters. We’re not very well-educated,” Luke Jones said. “We’re just simple people trying to do the right thing.” In response to Jones’ actions, angry and insulted Muslims attacked a U.N. compound, killing seven U.N. employees. Related protests left nine dead and more than 90 injured, reports the Post.

Last time we checked, actions or words that convey intent to cause harm or injury, or that leads to the physical harm of other individuals is not protected:

The Supreme Court… says [that] the First Amendment does not protect “fighting words,” words that by themselves tend to cause injury or an immediate breach of the peace.

More importantly, under United States Code Title 18, Section 871, threatening the President of the

United States
is a class D felony. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making “any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States.”
There have been no reports on what, if any, legal actions will be taken against Jones. But this act, and others, clearly goes far beyond free speech. He is not only encouraging the murder of the president of the United States, he is encouraging the lynching of a Black man in America.
The description of the video reads as follows:The controversial Terry Jones says “Hang ‘Em High”! Get

Obama out of office as he is killing America! Obama’s support of killing babies(abortion), supporting radical Islam(financial support to Muslim Brotherhood), support of the Homosexual agenda(same-sex marriage), and doing his utmost to bankrupt America and have the dollar removed as the world reserve currency proves he is killing America and needs to be removed from office as soon as possible. Help save America and remove Obama from his position of President of the United States of America! Vote Terry Jones for President 2012!

You're not moderate. You're a religious zealot to the same obsessive extreme as this kook. You just worship different gods and preach different gospels. For this clown it's Jesus and the Bible... for you it's Alex Jones and infowars.
