Film and Television Recommendations

Because Jimcy's too much of a bitch.

There should be a thread where we just recc shit to people to watch.

I've had so many shows I've been told to watch and I forget about almost all of them.

I remember I need to watch Twin Peaks and everything besides that has drifted out of my head.

Daniel Holden must put his life back together after serving 19 years on Georgia's Death Row before DNA evidence calls his conviction into question.

What We Do in the Shadows:
A documentary team films the lives of a group of vampires for a few months. The vampires share a house in Wellington, New Zealand. Turns out vampires have their own domestic problems too.

Bump! Two excellent movies written by Taylor Sheridan.

Hell or High Water:
A divorced father and his ex-con older brother resort to a desperate scheme in order to save their family's ranch in West Texas.

Wind River:
A veteran tracker with the Fish and Wildlife Service helps to investigate the murder of a young Native American woman, and uses the case as a means of seeking redemption for an earlier act of irresponsibility which ended in tragedy.

Well-Known Member
It's amazing how much Chris Pine looked like Tim Elephant.
Or 'Olyphantastic' as Kevin Smith dubbed him while they were shooting CATCH AND RELEASE.

Apparently Ol' Timmy needs to be the centre of attention at all times.

A couple foreign films.

Ichi the Killer:
As sadomasochistic yakuza enforcer Kakihara searches for his missing boss he comes across Ichi, a repressed and psychotic killer who may be able to inflict levels of pain that Kakihara has only dreamed of.

Man Bites Dog
A film crew follows a ruthless thief and heartless killer as he goes about his daily routine. But complications set in when the film crew lose their objectivity and begin lending a hand.

Talk softly and drive a big tank!
I recommend you turn the movies and tvs off and go outside, live a little. Make your own adventures, chums.

Voodoo Ben

The African Dream
I watched this the other night, great documentary, it's about how Jim Carry lost himself while portraying Andy Kaufman.

In 1999, Jim Carrey portrayed his idol Andy Kaufman in “Man on the Moon.” For twenty years, the behind-the-scenes footage has been withheld…until now.

Two from Jeremy Saulnier.

Blue Ruin:
A mysterious outsider's quiet life is turned upside down when he returns to his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance. Proving himself an amateur assassin, he winds up in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family.

Green Room:
A punk rock band is forced to fight for survival after witnessing a murder at a neo-Nazi skinhead bar.

For his final assignment, a top temporal agent must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time. The chase turns into a unique, surprising and mind-bending exploration of love, fate, identity and time travel taboos.

A man accidentally gets into a time machine and travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences.

I had to recommend this one for @Jacuzzi Billy.

Silence, you mortal Fuck!
I've seen many of your recommendations and agree with all of what I've seen. This makes me want to check out this Recti...
Rectify really needs more respect. I have it up there with Leftovers as Best TV of the Decade.
Leftovers...Leftovers....I've heard that before....god dammit, that's that Damon Lindelof show again isn't it?

I better not watch Rectify either, just to be sure.
