Now what do I do? I am sure there are patches and WB warnings for set up. Help a Fellow gamer out. :icon_mrgr

Set it up laying flat and DO NOT TOUCH IT while a disk is spinning.

Go get Rock Star's Table Tennis and have some fun with the family, dad!

Yeah don't move it while the game is playing is right and keep the recpit in case you need to bring it back to the store because thats better then having to deal with Microsoft.

Definately keep the recipt. I got my elite last week, had to return it the next day. Luckily they still had 2 elites left. So Lying it flat is better than upright? But it looks cooler verticle!!

I would get the extra warranty. Had to send my 360 back twice for repairs.

And pick up Gears of War, if you like shooters. If you get Live service, you can join us online.

Enjoy the new toy.

Mine just shit the bed. Got the ol' unplayable disc. It is in warranty, and Microsoft is sending me the box to send it to them. I got an extra year warranty when we bought it at Xmas through Babbages. I think I will go back and see if I can add more on to it.

Why do people keep calling me?

Mine's been vertical for months and I've had no problems. Pick up Oblivion if you don't already have it for the PC. Great game.

Lost planet is good too. Definitely get live soo you can download old school games.

And everyone who said lay it down instead of vertical is 100% right, my brothers xbox gets the disc is unreadable shit a decent amount... fucking annoying

I got one a few months ago and have played maybe 10 minutes worth of games on it. I've mostly been using it as a media extender.

Mine has never been verticle. I just ended up with one with a shitty disk drive in it.

it's great, Gears and Crackdown are must haves. But I'd buy the store warranty, fuck what the other poster said about sending it to MS. If the year warranty runs out, it's $160 to get a new one, and it takes a month. If you have the store warranty, you take it back to the store and walk out with a new one.

It's a matter of gravity. When it's upright it puts more torque on the motor because it's fighting gravity instead of just spinning the disk. It also make the machine run a tiny bit hotter.

Make sure you have lots of space around the box. Tight spaces kill 360's.

And get Oblivion. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only must have for the 360. Fight night round 3 and Lost Planet also eat alot of my time.

And get X-box live and a high speed connection. It's a must have. The Arcade is fantastic.

If you don't already have one, start scoping out HDTV. I played oblivion for 6 months on a standard set and was blown away. Then, when I played it for the first time on HD, I was fucking speechless.
