Vos always wants us to know how he kills on stage. It's true that some of the guys are better on stage than they are on the show and vice versa. How would you rank them based solely on their stand-up skills? You can include guys who have died (Greg, Patrice) or don't do the show anymore (Tracy Morgan, Frank Caliendo), but stick to people who have been real regulars, not the Chris Rock/Gaffigan type guys who have only done the show 2-3 times.

I've seen almost all the major guys live, except Maron, whose act I only know from TV and CDs. My favorites to go see are:

1. Patrice O'Neal
2. Louis CK
3. Bill Burr
4. Doug Stanhope
5. Greg Giraldo
6. Colin Quinn
7. Jim Norton
8. Joe Rogan
9. Mark Maron
10. Tracy Morgan
11. Otto and George
12. Joe Rogan
13. Rich Vos
14. Bob Kelly
15. Ralphie May
16. Mike DeStefano

In fairness, all of them are good comics, although DeStefano I wouldn't have gone out of my way to see again, and Ralphie and Bobby I can only see every once in a while.

So how would you rank them?

4. Bobby
5. Norton
6. Derosa

I've seen some more, but can't recall right now.

And yes. I don't think Vos is the best comic, and he's not my favorite, but he put on the best live show I've seen.

I've seen all of these guys live at least once, most of them I've seen a few times.

I'll be seeing Jimmy in January so maybe he can move up the ranks a little

Oh, man, I forgot Attell and DiPaolo, love both of those guys.

I'd probably put Attell above Colin and DiPaolo above Maron.

Oh yeah, and Bonnie. I only saw Bonnie perform once, and she bombed more horribly than I've ever seen anyone bomb and almost cried and stormed off stage. So probably best to withhold judgement.

I've only got to see a few of the guys live. Louis CK was far and way number one, just destroyed the room. Colin and Jimmy were both very funny. I'd love a chance to see Attell or DeRosa at some point.

Colin's super underrated. He's really a pretty great comic.

Jimmy is a very good comic, but he's one of those guys who I think is better on the radio than on stage. No one is faster with a line in studio.

Remembered a few more names. Fixed:
1. Patrice O'Neal
2. Louis CK
3. Bill Burr
4. Doug Stanhope
5. Greg Giraldo
6. Dave Attell
7. Colin Quinn
8. Jim Norton
9. Joe Rogan
10. Mark Maron
11. Nick DiPaolo
12. Tracy Morgan
13. Jim Jeffries
14. Otto and George
15. Joe Rogan
16. Rich Vos
17, Adam Ferrara (would be higher if he wrote new material more)
18. Bob Kelly
19. Ralphie May
20. Jay Mohr (in fairness, this was a long time ago, and I hear he's gotten better)
21. Mike DeStefano
