Lately I have been experiencing constant disconnecting and reconnecting so I tried all the common steps to remedy (including connecting the modem directly to the PC) with no success..

So I breakdown and call tech support.... The lovely Non-US citizen tells me that my router is the cause and that in order to properly trouble shoot the problem I would have to disconnect the router for 24-hours........ I have had this router with Bellsouth (now AT&T) for over a year and no problems until the stupid merger.... Granted, I am not knowledgeable on router interference but I do know my service is just as shitty.... So I waited 24-hours and now the other Non-US citizen tells me a tech will have to come out and check the line......

I just signed up for AT&T DSL. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't log on to my e-mail from the AT&T homepage. I spoke with one of the customer service savages in Hellholia, India. She explained to me that I had to go to the Yahoo page to access my e-mail...

Yep.

Those fucking AT&T scumbags recently acquired Yahoo, so now, all new AT&T DSL customers get a FREE Yahoo espam-mail account with an .att stuck on the end, instead of an actual AT&T e-mail account.

A Free Yahoo e-mail account. Oh joy. What a bargain for me.

AT&T molests children.

My non-sidekick phone is at&t. I upgraded the phone a month or so ago to some fancy video,picutre,radio,mp3thingy. It took 3 weeks for all the features to kick in. In addition they fucked up my plan, it took 5 calls to straiten it all out. Mind you I have had an account with them for about 12 years, this was the 1st problem.

The problem is that you guys have DSL. I pay through the ass for the fastest Time Warner service but I haven't had a problem the 4 years I have had them. The only good thing is if you have to call for anything you get an American. Oh yea and fuck verizon

Unfortunately, I don't have much choice.... Charter sucks more than Bellsouth/AT&T......

They wanted me to direct connect to my main PC... Which meant we couldn't use the laptops without plugging and unplugging the cable....

My tethered Treo has a better connection...

Doesn't matter who your service provider is, in some cases they're running the data through 30+ year old paper wrapped telephone cables and that shit causes attenuation (especially when wet) , dropouts in transmission, and just generally shit service. Look on the router for the TX/RX dropped data packet report. Might be that they need to boost the line voltage on your wires to minimize the error rate. Too tired and drunk to make sense right now, sorry... g'luck bro.
