Did not even realize it was on last night and my DVR didn't pick it up. I'm sure it'll rerun eventually.

But yes. New season of Futurama. Looking forward to it. I'm regularly impressed with its animation as well.

Neat. It didn't seem like there was any promotion for it. I don't watch Comedy Central usually, but you'd expect some online ad.

I think Futurama and SP are the only shows I watch on CC. Two good ones, but come on CC, that's all you got? Take notes from Fx.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm down to watching on CC.
Besides the occasional comedian special their programming is shit.

Same here.

There's was also a period like a year ago where I watched Tosh.0 for a month or two. I've also heard good things about Workaholics, but I've never seen an episode.

The CC version of Futurama has been pretty miss. There's no finesse or smart structure to episodes. Many of the new jokes are crammed in when they're not streaming through overused ones from seasons past. They're also suffering from Burn Notice syndrome where they feel the need to use as many secondary and special characters as possible.

Most of them were muh last season too. The only episode I liked last season was the Time Travel one, The Late Philip J. Fry.

The last episode with the cartoon parodies was pretty funny.

Yeah, I liked that.

I still think they don't give shows a decent shot.
They don't advertize properly and then switch times
and they never get to grow a new audience. Whatever.

I'll be sorry to see it go.

I was actually surprised there was a shot in the third segment of a Kindergarten getting blown up. Seems pretty risky to do in the wake of Newtown. But the episode was funny even though I usually don't care tremendously for the 3 story episodes (Simpsons as well)

Still hope there will be life for Futurama. I think it would do well on FX, maybe if they paired it with Archer. Maybe Netflix could be a possibility. One could at least hope for another run of direct to DVD/Blu-Ray movies, those must have done at least ok for Comedy Central to take a chance on picking up the series.

I never thought I would say this but I wish they never brought the show back. This was my favorite animated show but I just don't like the new shows. They just seem different. Different writers I guess. Watching these new show is like going back to some beloved place from your childhood and realizing it isn't that great as an adult. Not being able to get the same enjoyment out of it actually makes me sad, like Jurassic Bark sad.
