One juicy bug can make streaks for days.

Anyway, glad there's no inspection here. If it will roll, you can drive it.

Jersey used to be that shitty. They changed it up though, now they only really check emissions. If you don't blow dirty, you're out with a passing sticker.

No inspection or emission testing here in Florida, with that being said - I see some real shitboxes on the roads every single day...

If you don't have a windshield you aren't required to have wipers. I learned this from trying to get a woods buggy through inspection. Popped the lexan windshield out and it was passed.

    Different states, different laws.
In PA for instance, without a windshield or wipers it's not street legal.

Two oil changes in under an hour. New personal best. Feeling pretty good about that.

And I checked to make sure the old gasket was removed from the oil filter threading. Made that mistake once, and my wife was stuck on the parkway with a severely overheated engine.

Get a Fumoto valve for quick and less messy oil changes: http://www.fumotousa.com/

They make them with nipples too so you can attach a drain hose. Went with a nipple on the one this time because it's just about guaranteed that any time I change oil it seems to be a windy day.

So I don't need a tool to drain the oil, but I need this goofy bitch to remove the filter canister:

    That valve is badass.

I dislike these new fangled oil filter setups. It seems like a fix for a nonexistent problem. I'm glad I am taking both cars to the dealer now like a fancy man.

I wonder if I could get one of those valves for my zero-turn mower. I'm getting ready to do my first oil change on it, most likely this coming weekend.

    Yes you can!
    Every fancy man can!

*Might require thread size if not listed by equipment. Love m myself. JD mower required an extension.

I have commercial vehicles they need to be inspected for every thing every year, and 95 and older don't get tested for emissions any more tempered to get a old junker that spews out blue smoke to piss off the libs.

Today went and got my 2015 Edge serviced, oil change, tire rotation, etc. Anyway as they're about done the service manager comes out and informs me the air cabin filter could be replaced. I said, nah, we'll wait until next time since I remembered them finding extra maintenance last time that I agreed to.. Went home and got my records of the last service, done 5k earlier, and what do you know? They just replaced the cabin air filter.

I cannot wait to get this motherfucker on the phone tomorrow.

No. The vehicle is garaged every night and it's not like it sits at construction sites during the day. It doesn't add up to me except for a lazy attempt at tacking on 20 bucks more labor.

Cabin filter is one of those things worth "subscribing" to from Amazon. They give you a little discount on them, I think mine is barely over $9.

I agree, my truck doesn't have one, and you only need one if you have allergies.

Fuck that. Do I yourself. On most cars it's a 2 minute job and the filter is usually about twelve to fifteen bucks. Dealers usually charge $45-60.

I use the cabin filters with activated charcoal. Can't even smell diesel fumes anymore. $15 from Rock Auto.
