many attempts were cute, a lot failed early and a lot of unimpressive beards. no shave november is pretty lame. beards are rad. grow one or not. don't pick a month to get all trendy with it.
as a dude who just has a rad beard, it's mockery of the awesomeness that is facial hair.

I am facial hair challenged. If I grew a beard I would fit in at any Juggalo event with my whispy whitetrash beard.

Hate shaving... and this time of year I have to stand outside for hours at a time... so I'll keep mine for a while.

Nah I keep mine pretty short... as I hate when I get the curly cue things at the corners of my jaw. My chick loves them and likes to play with them during certain ahem activities....

Grew a full beard when I turned 30.

Shaved it to a stache when I turned 40.

Took that off when I hit 50.

5 more years and I grow a beard again.

Going for that Hemmingway look this time.

I'm about half Native American if you piece it together through the ancestry, so if I try to grow a beard I look like a homeless leper.

I had a beard when I tried to join the HAMC but they kicked over my moped, popped my tires and stomped my legs across my bikes frame.

I guess they thought it didn't fill in good enough.

I usually let me beard grow out in November and keep it that way until April. It really does keep your face warmer. I hate shaving all the time too so it's nice to let it go a little.

one of my best friends
I'd LOVE to grow a beard that long...

I haven't used a straight edge in about 6 years. I use a 2 guard, let it grow about 3-4 weeks, 2 guard, repeat.

I did go about 2 months a while back, and I could literally twirl the mustache area pirate style. But it just started looking too ratty for me, and it's a pain to trim specific areas, so it was 2 guard time.

But I'd love a big beard, if I could snap my fingers and make it happen I would, just takes too long.

My beard idol used to be Brent Mydland from The Dead. Long, but neat.

Current length in a candid non-candid photo of myself.

But it's about trim time for me, to get obnoxiously giant, it'd take a year... This is about 5 weeks.

I usually just shave my neck up to my jaw line and trim the beard whenever i have to "clean up" i work for the family business so it's pretty lenient with facial hair.

I have medium/dark brown hair on my head but most of my beard is red with some brown mixed in and i have blonde arm hair.

WTF

I wish this thread was around earlier this year. Last year I grew my beard from Feb. to about March or April this year. It was down to my chest at the time when I cut it but if I never shaved the ends it would have been longer. If only I knew there were others like me with badass beards I'd probably still have mine.
