We should be logging more in this country, and the non-protected federal forests are very under-harvested.
I live in the middle of a redwood forest and we have three or four mills left open in our county (down from like 40) and our docks are filled with timber and lumber from South America.
So that was you in this video, partycock.
One step closer to getting my countertops carved out of Half Dome, woo hoo!
If the federal government wants to control 33% of our land and the natural resources within that, then they need to do so to maximize it's sustainable value. BTW Mayr, I know you're going for the joke, but no one is advocating logging in parks. Most federal land is composed of national forests and BLM land, which is suppose to be utilized.
if you want more trees, waste more paper
Through the intervention of humans, there is more forest land today in America than there was in 1492.
There were less highways, too. Whats your point?
Around here the bumper stickers say, "Can't log it, can't mine it, can't graze it. Let it burn."
