Guess the Sitcom Theme

One of my guilty pleasures is the happy, poppy/rock kind of theme songs you'd hear on sitcoms or other TV shows, notably from the 80s.

Since I'm bored and there's fuck all on TV today, I'm gonna start a new game.

I'll give a lyric... you guess what TV theme it is.

Same rules as other games... once it's answered, someone else goes.

Here goes:

"The wind and haze... I'm bound for better days."

As soon as I saw this stupid thread, my first thought was "oooo, I should say 'standing taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal on the wings of my dreams'.

But let's give a little

"Streaks on the China, never mattered before, no one cared."

Mr Belvedere

Edit: Yes, I am a huge sitcom dork.

Next one: "What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me?"

#15
Yep.

"Show me that smile again. Don't waste another minute on your cryin."

and

"If what doesn't kill us is makin us stronger, we're gonna last longer than the greatest wall in China or that rabbit with a drum."

Yes, but a lovely ass you are. :icon_mrgr the top one is indeed Growing Pains. The bottom one is something different.

Second one is kind of tough, the show didn't use the lyrics until either the last or second-to-last season.

ummm Step by Step?
Step by Step had lyrics from the start when the family is at a carnival and Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Sommers get splashed by the log ride.

#23
Nope. It was the theme to Roseanne. For the first several seasons it was just the fat guy from Blues Traveler playing harmonica, then they added the lyrics during the season where they win the lottery.

Not from a sitcom, but a good movie themesong..... "Through early morning fog I see, visions of the things to be, the things that are withheld for me, I realize and I can see...."

MASH. The instrumental version was played at the opening of the show. One of the creepiest openings to any movie I've ever seen.
