Half in the Bag...

It's about time Half in the Bag got it's own thread. I never get tired of hearing Mike Stoklasa say the title in the Mr. Plinkett voice.

Mike's acting in the latest HITB was really making me laugh.

Does anyone ever find themselves listening to HITB/RLM on their smart phone even if they can't watch the footage because they find the voices comforting and centering?

No, but I totally would do that.

That whole segment was hysterical. I love it when they dig up pieces of garbage like that. Perfect for HiTB.

OOOOOOOO. I was wondering if they'd do an Oscar piece. This will do.

I hope they mentioned how Lucas was on talk shows, Daily Show specifically, basically acting like he freed the slaves.
How nobody would dare pick up an all black film, but him.
How this was the first ever black action film.
Etc

They certainly did.

I liked the point about why tackling racism couldn't work in that style of movie.

Pretty good. They literally addressed the Daily Show interview; when I watched it, I was thinking RLM is going to hit on this I hope.

Or how he's taking credit for something ground-breaking when he's just remaking The Tuskegee Airmen less than 15 years after the first one? Lawrence Fishburn to Terrence Howard isn't even a very far reach in casting. Hell, Lawrence Fishburn could still play the damn role.

I bring love and cheer.

Why do black people call each other "Monica"?

I´m just thinking: What´s up with Oprah! does Lucas own her? I want to see the movie after seeing this and all I have to say is that movie sucked and George Lucas is insane.

I wish they would have an hour long plinkett review of "Howard the Duck"

I like HITB, but I prefer the Plinkett character.

I want to see the movie after seeing this
After making it through the Blindside, I felt I could get through any movie. I just don't know if I have what it takes to get through this one. I 'm gonna need training, I'll start by watching Pride.

From only the previews and this review, Terrence Howard's delivery and voice takes me out of the movie. Is that really how he sounds and does lines? It's like how Mike was doing them, "This is bad... now we need to fly and go to save them..."

I've never seen anything he's done I guess.

I thought he was terrific in Hustle and Flow. He was good in Crash, but he did have that sort of dry delivery for the most part.
