I had a rich friend growing up and his dad had one of those brick phones way way back in like the early to mid 90s.

"7 years later"

Couldn't you show us creatively that 7 years had passed instead of just splashing it on the screen? How can Oliver Stone be both brilliant and fucking awful at the same time?

You heard that opening monologue? Did that come from the mind of someone who knew shit about shit? "There was a big bubble once. What does it mean? I don't know."

Oliver Stone thinks Capitalism is so obviously evil that just saying the word itself is criticism enough. That's why I think I know exactly what this movie will be.

I've seen most of this movie. It's… meh?
For some reason it popped back in my mind and I remember it bothering me and I wanted to get more analytical about it. I don't see it as a laff-a-minute HitW, but a more serious one.

And why would Gekko's daughter get involved with a Wall Street guy if she hates her father so much...

Because he said "Greed is Good" in the first one.

Living in NY really kills that glamorous NY vibe in movies. This city stinks on ice.

I actually do love the fact that this movie has a mad scientist with a superlaser.

The lipstick building. Madoff's office was in that building. And I worked across the street from it. See what I mean? Glamorous vibe dead.
