Black Monday. Sounds racist to me.
Why isn't Jerry Jones name on that list?
...and paid himself off.
Thank Jeebus Andy Reid made the cut.
Oh and Ditka's not happy Lovie was let go.
Looks like Reid will be coaching the Cardinals.
Smith has been on thin ice since the end of last year. Read: The Bears wanted to get rid of him since last year and just pulled the trigger (I SAID TRIGGER) because "they missed the playoffs". Not really surprising.
Lovie to the Bills?
Andy Reid to Chiefs?
Reid seems likely. Lovie...my jury is out (at the bar), and isn't expected back 'till April. Slackers!!
Do these coaches get their names tossed in a hat?
Sadly, and ironically, Coach Stetson has been bypassed for decades.
Thats why things are interesting now. And change pretty damn fast.
Saw this on Jan 1st
One League source said he was 95 percent certain former eagles HC Andy Reid will wind up coaching the Cardinals.
No way Lovie goes to the Bills. Ralph Wilson will never, and I mean NEVER authorize an African American Head Coach or Quarterback. (And before you say Tarvaris Jackson, he didn't play a single snap for them all year.) They are just using him to fill their Rooney Rule Obligation. Race thing aside, the Bills aren't about to spend any money on a big name coach - they only hire retreads and coordinators. There's a reason why they haven't made the playoffs in 13 years.
How many junkies does Reid have left in his family?
The big names like Gruden, Cowher, and Saban don't sound interested in NFL jobs so Reid certainly belongs at the top of the list of eligible candidates. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. He is a proven coach who has had a lot of success in the league. All the Philly fans bashing him doesn't mean much to me.
Done deal. According to what I've seen Andy's already in KC.
He'll be assembling his coaching staff quickly I would assume.
1st hired gets more available people to choose from so he'll act fast.
And it shouldn't really.
His 1st 6 years here were very good. He assembled a good team and staff
and they went to the playoffs consistently. It was later that he seemed to
lose his direction and make bad decisions. He overstayed his time here IMO.
With a new team and a clean slate if he gets back to what he was then KC
will be ok. A change of scenery might be just what he needs.
Marrone to the Bills.
White, cheap, and not one ounce of past success = every Bills coach ever.
Bye Bye Rob Ryan. The Cowboys fired DC Rob Ryan.
They need to get rid of Garrett and their O-Line coach....
I have said it before that I wish the Redskins had the same success in recent years that the Eagles had under Reid in his first 6 years.
But along with overstaying his time in Philadelphia, he had the same problem that many other football head coaches do. They're stubborn to a fault in wanting do things their way.
Yeah, he's about as flexible as a wrought iron rail.
As long as it's working, his way was fine but when
it started to fall apart he never changed his plans.
