Finally. I wonder who his first opponent would be. I'm thinking that Yushin Okami would Probably be a good Debut fight.

In the time he has gone 10-0, those opponents have gone a 40-34-1.

The best Alexander Shlemenko: 9-1 the worst, and most recent, Trevor Prangley 1-4-1

All the rest are .500 at best.

This is true. But he's dominated a lot of them. I think he'll be ok against tougher guys. Just based on his style and some of the knockouts he's had I think he'll compete.

Interesting. Any guess what he was making in Bellator and what he will get from UFC?

Bellator 66 had two amazing semi-finals in their middleweight tournament.

To add to that, since 2009 when he won the belt:

5 fights
1 title defense
4 non title fights

I like Lombard, but not only was he beating up on sub par competition, but Bellator didn't make things better by making him fight all those non title fights. What's the point of being the champ, if the belt isn't on the line...

If you want an idea, Alvarez got $100k ($50k/$50k) for beating Akoi. Both he and Lombard became Bellator champs in the same year and both were the face of the organization. So the pay is probably the same...

No idea what the UFC will pay him, but I know he will be getting a PPV cut.

Not sure either will make much of an impact, but it's going to be fun watching them try.

Dana White today on Twitter confirmed a Hector Lombard vs. Brian Stann fight, but didn't say when or where it would take place.

The UFC can't catch a break.

Brian Stann injured, out of UFC on FOX 4 headliner with Hector Lombard

August's UFC on FOX 4 event needs a new headliner.

Middleweight Brian Stann (12-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) is out of his scheduled five-round middleweight headliner with promotional newcomer Hector Lombard (31-2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) due to an injury.

A source close to the event today confirmed the scratch with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), though the UFC has made no official announcement.

UFC on FOX 4 takes place Aug. 4 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event's main card airs live on FOX while prelims go to FUEL TV and Facebook.

It was not immediately clear if Lombard, the reigning Bellator middleweight champion and a recent UFC import, will remain on the card and in the night's network-televised main event.

Stann recently picked up his fourth win in five fights with a first-round knockout via ground and pound of Alessio Sakara at UFC on FUEL TV 2. Prior to the victory, the former WEC light-heavyweight champion snapped a three-fight win streak (over Mike Massenzio, Chris Leben and Jorge Santiago) and potentially cost himself a title shot with a second-round submission loss to upcoming title challenger Chael Sonnen. A win over Lombard could have gotten him right back into title contention.
I expect Bisping, Munoz or Belcher to get the call.
