How Did The Media Get Rick Perry's College Records So Fast.....

but they still can't get Obamas? I wonder what Obama is hiding?

Rick Perry’s college grades would not earn a spot on the fridge (especially that D in economics)

The years Gov. Rick Perry spent at Texas A&M University “helped shape who he is today,” the governor’s spokesman told the Texas Tribune in a story that ran earlier this week. But a review of the governor’s academic transcripts from his Texas A&M days show that Perry struggled mightily as a student.

Rick Perry with Reveille during his Aggie days. (Texas Tribune)

The Huffington Post got a copy of the governor’s college transcripts and … well, see for yourself.

A few A’s do grace Perry’s records, but they are fewer and farther between than the B’s, Cs’, even D’s. Some of the more troublesome subjects for the governor included trigonometry, organic chemistry, Shakespeare, veterinary anatomy — OK, most of these probably don’t come up at the Capitol very often.

But a D in Principles of Economics? Supporters who tout Texas’ jobs numbers could nominate Perry for Most Improved. But critics who cite the state’s first-place spot (tied with Mississippi) for the highest percentage of workers who earn minimum wage or less might give the governor a failing grade.

“If you want to grade the governor on jobs and the economy, it’s an A-plus,” said Mark Miner, Perry’s spokesperson.

But John Sharp, an A&M classmate and now a former state comptroller and Texas legislator, had something else to say about college-aged Perry.

“When I first saw him, I thought he looked stupid,” Sharp said in a 1989 interview with the Abilene Reporter-News.

Sharp, a friend and occasional political ally of the governor, claimed to have made the judgment based merely on Perry’s haircut (the hair has come a long way since then). But the transcripts are sure to re-ignite a debate over the governor’s academic credentials, though Miner said Perry actually beat HuffPo to the punch and released the transcript a few years ago.

“This is not new information. The governor is a firm believer in full disclosure,” Miner said. “The public is concerned about the economy and job creation, which Texas leads the way in. … That’s what people are concerned about, they’re not concerned about the governor’s transcripts.”

Conservative bloggers and commentators, most unaware that Perry’s team had indeed released the transcripts years ago, said the Huffington Post story underscored the media’s leftward tilt. Fox News’ web site featured this headline:

“The Left Leaks Perry’s College Transcript … Still Waiting on Obama’s”

Does Perry’s English grade from 40 years ago have any bearing on his ability to lead today? Maybe, maybe not. Is the publication of his college transcript just a taste of the extensive and very public background check he can expect if he announces a run for presidency? Absolutely.

Is this sort of like when they released Bush's Yale grades right before John Kerry's were discovered to be even worse?

I was told in many years ago when I was a student at Iowa State that the kids that struggled to get good grades always ended up the bosses of the kids that good grades without trying. Trust me, more then a few of us on here are answering to a boss that was likely a B student that had to bust his ass to get it. But I was a hamhead that got C's in Criminal Justice and fucked around a lot. It would take two promotions for me to make the rank of asshole at my job.

The kids that get good grades get honest jobs. The rest become teachers and politicians.

Hold on. He was "Pre Veterinary" at A&M???? Holy fuck, that has Organic Chemistry and Physics as required classes. No wonder he struggled, 95% of the population can barely qualify for medical school and vet school is supposed to be even more complicated because it is on multiple types of organisms, not just humans.

Ewwww what a cunty, condescending article.

What a fucking nerd the writer is. That's the kind of transcript you'll see from a student where everything doesn't come easy to him and he had to learn to work hard and put in effort to graduate. If that's what help shaped him into who he is today I have news for this lazy snotbag writer....hard work and effort aren't bad qualities to have no matter what your job is.

OChem was hands down the hardest class at my college. Yes, harder than Physics 2, Differential Equations or Fluid Mechanics (where each problem had 2-3 variables and could only be solved using spreadsheets and pivot tables). I passed the last 3, guess which one I didn't touch with a 10 ft slide rule.

Or it could be just a typical college kid that might have been smarter than his grades reflected because he was more interested in partying, sports, or just chasing girls.

But still, how do you manage to get just one A in college (the other one seems like some study hall class)? Usually most people are a "natural" in one or two subjects. He even got a C in PE. They'll at least give you a B for just showing up everyday. He had to be on academic probation since his GPA seems to have hovered in the low 2s so I doubt he even played sports.

She was devastated. Probably wasn't a good idea to take her chem and bio classes (both with labs as well) as a freshman. Glad being a business major I never had to deal with that shit.

Wait, you mean Kirk's a birther? Who'd have guessed?
Not really a birther.

I do wonder why Obama keeps his college years secret. Is it because he was a hardcore commie? Did he lie and say he was from Indonesia or is he really a Indonesian citizen? Did he have bad grades and get in because of affirmative action? Lots of possibilities and none of them favor Obama. I believe Hillary hides stuff about her college years and some stuff leaked out that made her look like a commie.

I believe his college years would expose his communist views.

His books, his speeches and his actions expose his communist views. He's hiding his transcript because he was likely a shitty student just like every other politician and his zombies can't take the truth that he's not the genius they think he is.

What the hell kind of college/university did you go to? The most difficult class I had in all my undergrad years was a 100 level intro to music (you were required to take 3 credits in fine arts and the school had a reputale music program so the professor taught it like we were all grad students in music - I still can't tell the difference between something in minor or major, yet can equalize a room or car by ear better than a RTA) The only D I got, didn't have any C's and only 1 B - kept me off the Presidents List for a semester. I struggled more to pass that class than I did in grad school where I was more than happy to get Cs

More than likely Little Barry's academic records would just expose him as a fraud to all of his followers.

I'd bet my right arm that Sarah Palin would score at least 10 points higher than he would on an IQ test, but of course those tests are racially biased.
