I got the IP address and the fuckin router still won't connect

Now, for some strange reason, every time I open the internet it says I'm working offline. How the fuck do I get that turned off? Whenever I go to someone's Myspace, for some strange reason it says I have to connect again or some shit like that.

Whenever I click on my cousin's myspace, or anyone elses, it says
"Dial-up connection

connect to (drop box with "broadband connection" inside)

check box next to the words "connect automatically"

then there's 3 things for me to click all next to each other. They say:
Connect, Settings, and Work Offline"

then something comes up that says

"Connecting Through WAN Miniport (PPPOE)"

I really have no clue what I did when I tried to set up the router, and if anyone can help me, please do. I'd appreciate it.

In your control panel, open Internet Options, then click on the connectin tab. Delete anything that may be in the 'Dial Up and Virtual Private Network Connections'

Who is your Internet Provider? Unless you are on DSL, you should not be using a PPPoE connection.

In your router setup, you have options on how you want to connect:

If youre on Cable, choose connect automatically

if DSL, choose PPPoE and enter your username and pw.
