Just what we were all hoping for. I'm sure this is absolutely real too. Hogan has never been one to mislead the fans.

Hulk Hogan biography movie not in the works but he says it's being written

Hulk Hogan recently made a few waves with some off hand comments that a movie about his life is being made. Now, he's backed off a bit, but not too much. Not really. Well, it's "The Hulkster," y'all.

number of days ago, Hulk Hogan made some comments to TMZ in an off hand manner that a movie was being made about his life and he wanted his son, Nick, to play him in said film, a biography. We never picked up the story because, well, Hogan was clearly blowing off the silly questions the photog was tossing his way.

Well, the story picked up some mainstream attention, enough so that Hogan has been asked to follow up and clarify his comments. He did just that in an interview with The Cape Breton Post in Canada (via PW Insider):
"It's not really true. It's a TMZ headline.... What happened was, I was going through LaGuardia Airport ... this guy asked me a bunch of dumb questions for TMZ and he goes, 'Eh, when are they going to do a bio about your life?' And I said, 'It's already in development.' So now everybody's rambling like it's a feature film already. But the truth is ... two kids that are writers in L.A., hot young writers, they did a four-page treatment and I'm telling you they nailed it - they nailed it like they were living in my shoes - and I gave them the green light to go ahead and write the first pass. But that's all it is."
That sounds an awful lot like Hogan being Hogan, exaggerating something someone passed along to him that will likely never see the light of day.

So, a normal day in the life.

By the way, he wouldn't want his son Nick to play him. He has someone else in mind for that role:
"I said (Nick would) be perfect for it but I think we need a serious, serious actor that knows what he's doing. You know who I thought would be good? That guy that did that action movie, 'Thor'."
He's referring to Chris Hemsworth, of course. This guy.

Assuming a Hogan biography was made in the manner in which he speaks, would any of you Cagesiders bother to take some time out of your day to watch it? And would Hemsworth be the right guy to play Hulk?

I can't wait to hear his explanation regarding where he was during the 9/11 attacks. I've seen the fucking photos Hulk; there were no muzzies.

I'm willing to believe that the Towers provoked him.

I would actually be interested in seeing this as long as it's an accurate take with other people's points-of-view and not just his. I loved Hulk Hogan as a kid, and even though I couldn't give less of a shit about what he's doing now, I know I'll be really sad when he dies.

I hope it focuses on his time pre-WCW. Not that the NWO wasn't a major hit for him, but there's so much ground to cover that trying to hit all of it will just make it a major clusterfuck. Focus on when the Hulkster was at his most bulletproof to the general public, and peel back the layers for us.

He admitted there is no movie that is close to being made.
