Wild turkeys are tough. Lots of people hunt them with deer rifles, or use slugs in shotguns.

or tight ass chokes with #1 or 2 buck shot, one way or the other it was a funny shot.
i get scared turkey hunting i dont like being in the woods with guns with no blaze orange on.

I shot one with a 10 gauge one year. The choke tube came out with the shot and he got hit by the whole wad of shit. He died. I got a new choke tube. The old one never stayed tight, I think it had been threaded a bit too deep. The replacement works like designed.

I killed one with a dove load using my grandpa's ancient double barrel. But it was only 5 feet away. I've never had a problem using normal high brass duck and pheasant type loads.
