iPad dying?

I've had my iPad for about a year and a half, it's my primary home Internet device, play angry birds, words with friends etc....basic shit.

The last couple of months I have noticed a slow down in speed and once or twice a night when in safari it will just close and kick me out.

I clear history, individually close all apps (double click the main button and close) and re-boot and that seems to help sometimes, but over all the performance just isn't what it use to be....

Anyone else have this issue? And what canbe done to fix it? I have tried searching for "registry cleaner" PC style programs or apps, but nothing exists, also tried updating the iOS, etc....

I really don't want to reset to factory settings, when I did that on my iPhone I lost all progress on all games, and fuck me but I am top 5% in the world in angry birds and that shit took me a long fucking time to do, I'm not hip to losing it if possible....lame reason? Yeah.....but it is what it is

You probably have an app messing something up.

Remove any apps you don't need to save the info on and re-install them 1 by 1 to see when the issue begins.

Also, if you are close to having all of the memory used that could be the issue.

Other than that, I have no idea, I have a xoom.

My Safari has been buggy for a couple months too, randomly closing and crashing. I think it started happening after one of the big updates. Apple and their eternal quest to "improve" their products.....

Make sure you close out apps; and occasionally restart the thing. I go for about a month or so until I reset. All of those open apps do eat up its available RAM over time.

ipad 1 and ios 5 dont play well with each other. if you have an ipad 1, you are not the only one with the problem. its all over the apple.com forums.
