Since that fateful Sunday evening, I've had to come to grips with the fact that I actually like Journey.

I should probably read the polls to see of they're multiple chioce before I vote.

I actually like it now.
I had kind of forgotten the conversation, about what it feels like to die/get shot, between Bobby and Tony in the first episode.
Now it almost makes me a little sad that he went out like that.

I think Tony is alive since they will most likely move forward with a movie since Chase is a whore and wants every dime he can get.

I can't believe people still buy that bullshit that he died and things went black. You fucking idiots, he screwed everyone and simply didn't end it. He poorly wrapped up a few loose ends and left the rest of the show wide open. There was absolutely nothing in the episode that even slightly hinted that he was killed.

Yeah, that makes sense. There was never imagery throughout the show and it was all about killing and shooting. :icon_roll

I was fairly certain he wasn't killed, but now I'm leaning towards thinking he's dead. I just can't decide who still wanted him dead. He seemed to settle things with Phil's guys, who even told him to "do what you gotta do" with regards to killing Phil. So, I can't imagine that they'd then turn around and kill him after Phil was taken out.

Junior tried to kill him twice, but the last time they showed him before the finale, he was being given medicaiton to take away his aggresiveness. He's had issues with Tony since the very first episode, and there were several references to the pilot episode in the finale. In the pilot, Tony and Junior are arguing about Junior planning a hit on Little Pussy and Artie's resaurant and Junior yells (I don't have the exact quote, but it's very close to this), "Do you know how many times I played catch with you when you were a kid?" When Tony walks up to Junior for the last time, Junior says, "I remember you. We used to play catch." It's possible that Junior was off his medication after being moved to the state-run facility and was only acting like he didn't know what was going on (he was back to his mobster ways when they put him on the medication and wasn't nearly as out of it as he was at the end when he didn't even seem to remember being in the mob). Junior told everyone that he didn't know where his money was. Maybe he actually spent it on hiring someone to kill Tony. The whole "I don't know what's going on" thing could have been an act so he could kill Tony and be declared unfit for trial.

That final scene was an instant classic...i've watched it many times over and its just a brilliant piece of work...personally i think Tony got wacked...but that doesn't really even matter to me...

I feel kind of ambivalent toward the whole episode. I don't "hate" it, nor do I "love" it. It was appropriate. That's about all I can say.

I think Tony is probably dead. It was awkward how Bobby asked about death back in the earlier episode at the lake. I think that was definitely setting up the series ending. I find myself a little bummed out, though. I was pulling for him.

So was I. So were a lot of us. It's depressing imagining him dead because we like him so much. A lot of us simply do not want to think that Tony died. In other words, we just want to keep believing that Tony lives despite the evidence to the contrary.

I forgot to add to the end of my previous post that the original tag line for the show was "If one family doesn't kill him, the other will." The crime family couldn't kill him (Phil), so maybe it was his own family that did it (Junior).

It's been one week....

since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side and said "I'm angry"
Five days since you laughed at me saying
"Get that together come back and see me"
Three days since the living room
I realized it's all my fault, but couldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
but it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry

Hold it now and watch the hoodwink
As I make you stop, think
You'll think you're looking at Aquaman
I summon fish to the dish, although I like the Chalet Swiss
I like the sushi
'cause it's never touched a frying pan
Hot like wasabe when I bust rhymes
Big like LeAnn Rimes
Because I'm all about value
Bert Kaempfert's got the mad hits
You try to match wits, you try to hold me but I bust through
Gonna make a break and take a fake
I'd like a stinkin achin shake
I like vanilla, it's the finest of the flavours
Gotta see the show, cause then you'll know
The vertigo is gonna grow
Cause it's so dangerous,
you'll have to sign a waiver

How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of taking off my shirt

It's been one week since you looked at me
Threw your arms in the air
and said "You're crazy"
Five days since you tackled me
I've still got the rug burns on both my knees
It's been three days since the afternoon
You realized it's not my fault
not a moment too soon
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
And now I sit back and wait til you say you're sorry

Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watchin' X-Files with no lights on
We're dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man's in this one
Like Harrison Ford I'm getting frantic
Like Sting I'm tantric
Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy

Like Kurasawa I make mad films
Okay, I don't make films
But if I did they'd have a Samurai
Gonna get a set a' better clubs
Gonna find the kind with tiny nubs
Just so my irons aren't always flying off the back-swing
Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon
'Cause the cartoon has got the boom anime babes
That make me think the wrong thing

How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Tryin' hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of losing my shirt

It's been one week since you looked at me
Dropped your arms to your sides
and said "I'm sorry"
Five days since I laughed at you and said
"You just did just what I thought you were gonna do"
Three days since the living room
We realized we're both to blame,
but what could we do?
Yesterday you just smiled at me
Cause it'll still be two days till we say we're sorry

It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry

I don't think it matters who killed him, and trying to figure that out is futile.. But he had to die..

Another thing that points to him dying is his dinner with Meadow. When she asks why he wanted to take her out to dinner, he says that with the talk of her marrying Patsy's son, they might not have many chances left to do that. Because of her shitty parking job, Meadow is the only member of the family not at the table when the screen goes black.

I don't think it matters who killed him, and trying to figure that out is futile.. But he had to die..

I think the ending was pretty faithful to what the show had become post season 2. did tony get killed? it doesnt matter. it doesnt affect the story, or the character chase created. if he got killed there, down the line, went to jail in a year, or further down the line, the specific outcome doesnt really matter to the story chase was telling and he didnt decide on a specific one.

the episode as a whole wasnt too good, the ending I like after some thought. but its not one I will be itching to watch again

I'll tell you another thing that has occurred to me a week after the finale. there is NOTHING odd about the italian guy in the members only jacket in holsten's restaurant.

theres a name for guys like him- essex county resident.

so he looked over at tony a few times. big deal. in the sopranos definition of logic and reason, as it pertains to storylines, I think its foolish to think you've accurately drawn conclusions to a stereotypical italian looking guy in an often stereotypical italian setting.
