Well the comedy central crew is coming back to work on Jan 7th. Anyone think there will be any backlash over these guys going against the union. Jay Leno and David Letterman are also coming back, but Dave is trying to work his own deal w/the WGA.

Im sure there will be backlash from the writers, but fuck 'em. At least somebody seems to give a shit about their staffs and the viewers.

O and A explained yesterday that the reason that the shows are coming back minus the writers is because the network and production companies will have to fire everyone else involved with the shows very soon if they don't return to work.

even the writers understand that, and i think stewart and colbert will make it abundantly clear that they want their writers back. colbert could conceivably conduct interviews as his real self rather than his character.

Jon Stewart paid his staff writers a stipend out of his pocket for a while so I don't think they will crucify him.

They shouldnt be crucified, especially when the livelihoods of the non-writing staff are at stake.
