Do you want Mel Karmazin, the one that silenced O&A for two years, to be their boss? AND That instituted the gag order when Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony were working for the same company?

Do you want more shenanigans like the 30 day suspension when XM tried to act like it would as a merged company with its censored content?

Would you like an unknown number and quality of radio shows being canned to reduce redundancy?

These are the last 2 days to speak out to the organization that can stop the merger.

The Federal Communications Commission issued a public notice Friday seeking comment on the proposed merger of licensees Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc.

The FCC says that interested parties must file initial comments by July 9. Replies to comments are due by July 24. Comments may be filed via e-mail and should include docket number 07-57.

Not sure if the boys will sanction this but I think we need to take the initiative here.

Tell the FCC that you think this merger is unfair to you as a consumer and that you think they should prohibit the merger of XM and Sirius. Be sure to include terms like monopoly and consumer choice.

But, don't you want to hear about beth, and hoo hoo's edgy chess moves?? lol I really don't think the merger will take place. If it does, and it effects the show, I guess i'm going to have to sit on hold ALL over again. But, the majority of people are NOT for the merger as of late. And this also includes hoo hoo fans.

All the more reason to make sure you voice your opinion to the proper people. Bitching about it here might make you feel better, but it does s**t as far as waking up the asses in D.C. And when I say you, I don't mean you specifically, I mean you in the general sense of the word. Don't want you to think I was singling you out ;)

Done .. and sent one on my dad's computer from him. He's a stockholder with the other company but agrees that the merger would not be a good idea.

I want the merger to happen, since I dropped my XM over the suspension. Just think: O&A, Ron and Fez, Howard, Bubba, Jim Bruer, and Ralphie May. Oops almost forgot about Oprah. Now thats a line up. And they won't censor like XM does.

XM was acting like it would if it were merged to Sirius.

Howard and Bubba the love sponge and Oprah have no appeal for me.

Ralphie May is on from time to time.

I don't agree with this statement. I believe they acted the way they did because they need the FCC to push this merger through, not as if it was alreday done.

The way they will act if the merger goes through seems obvious to me - O&A will go back to being a premium channel, or more likely, part of a premium package. That actually reduces or eliminates the possibility of another content-related suspension. So from that (admittedly small) standpoint alone, the merger isn't bad. Of course, there is the matter about going back to a premium channel, but I assume most people here would pay the extra couple bucks for a return to truly uncensored radio.

As for Howard censoring O&A, I actually believe that both O&A AND Howard would be asked to refrain from discussing the other show. Most of O&A's talk about Howard over the past 18 months has been in direct response to stuff he's said about them first. Of course, a well-orchestrated dust-up between the two shows might bring some much needed publicity after the merger...
