Not sure if anyone was a fan of the old series but here goes. A couple of years ago they came out with Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, featuring Larry's nephew going to college. It was funny enough but it was really repetitive and the loading screens took up 90% of play time.

And now they're making a sequel to it, featuring Jay Mohr and Dave Attell.

MARLOW (17th January, 2008) – Sierra Entertainment, a division of Vivendi Games, announced today that the lovable loser, Leisure Suit Larry, is back in an all new side-splitting, pants-busting adventure game, coming to Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, PC and mobile phones this fall.

The Leisure Suit Larry® Box Office Bust video game gives gamers an all-access pass to the glitz, glamour and gorgeous women of Tinseltown. In this third-person adventure game, Larry takes a summer job working on his uncle Larry’s movie lot doing odd jobs and trying to uncover a mole from another studio who threatens to air the studio’s dirty laundry in the tabloids.
Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust is a rollicking, innuendo-laden lampoon of Hollywood that features open world sand box game play that includes exploration, platforming, racing and puzzle-solving to complete missions. Additionally, the game will feature an all-new Directors Game that allows the player to create their very own “Larry Feature.”

True to form, Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust will feature sophomoric comedy and bombshell babes thanks to the writing talents of Allen Covert (Happy Madison Productions) and an All-Star cast of actors and actresses, including Jay Mohr (Last Comic Standing), Dave Attell (Insomniac), Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie), Carmen Electra (Starsky and Hutch), Artie Lange (Mad TV), Patrick Warburton (Family Guy), Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), Nikki Cox (Las Vegas), Peter Graves (Mission Impossible), Jane Lynch (The 40 Year Old Virgin) and Josh Keaton (The Spectacular Spider-Man) as the voice of Larry Loveage.

“Leisure Suit Larry is an entertaining adventure that places gamers in the middle of Hollywood’s tabloid-filled mayhem to create a fun gaming experience,” said Al Simone, senior vice president of Global Marketing for Sierra Entertainment. “The collaborative efforts of Allen Covert and cast make this the most amusing and immersive Leisure Suit Larry video game yet.”
The Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust video game is being developed by Team 17 and will be rated “M” for Mature. Vivendi Games Mobile is also making Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust available for mobile phones throughout Europe and North America. For more information, please visit the game’s official Web site at http://www.leisuresuitlarry.com.

The teaser trailer for Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust will exclusively premiere Friday, 15th February both on-air on Spike TV's "GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley" and online at GameTrailers.com and other MTVN properties including comedycentral.com and spike.com.

Sounds like it probably won't be worth the 60 bucks it will cost, but I'll still most likely get it just to check out Jay Mohr in it.

Don't know if I could play another LSL when Al Lowe won't be a part of it and after hearing how poorly Vivendi handled the old-school Sierra employees.

And Larry Loveage???? It's not even the original Larry; Larry Laffer....

Larry Loveage was Larry's nephew in LSL: MCL. The uncle with the movie studio is probably Old School Larry.

Larry Laffer also made a couple Cameo's in MCL.

I noticed that as well. I'll be really pissed if they kill the nudity. Isn't that kind of the point of a LLL game?

Great. A sequel to a piece of shit that had little business carrying the name Leisure Suit Larry.

If they bring back one iota of the greatness that was the LSL series, I'll be surprised. I'm betting we can also forget any involvement whatsoever from Al Lowe...you know the guy who created the series and made it memorable.

The Sierra people got a raw deal. All you need do is take a look at the quality of the games they were outputting in the very end.

Leisure Suit Larry 7 and Space Quest 6 are probably two of the best adventure games ever made.

The original series was great. Old school Sierra with an adult twist.

MCL was a total piece of shit.

I hope this one is closer to the originals.

Unless Al Lowes name is stamped on it, I'll pass.

Visit Al Lowes Humor site and download some abandonware games he created back in the 80's. Just google it.

didnt MCL have censor bars over the nudity? (but they could be removed, or at least the tit censors, with a code or by beating the game or something?)

leisure Suit Larry, Land of the Lounge Lizards was the first game I ever played in the series back on a Tandy 8088. I picked up some bullshit game a few years back, i think it was something about college or something. It was the worst pile of shit I've played... evr.

I dont get the appeal of the game even back in the day when I played it on the Amiga. It just made more sense to just check out porn rather than play a game that teased you with the idea of something might happen.

You had to be pretty hard up to play it to see animated naughty bits.
I played it because it was clever point and click adventure game. It was like any other game of that type. Kings Quest, Space Quest, Day of the Tentacle, ect. were the same sort of point and click problem solving games.
