I hardly ever get to see comedians or concerts. Besides the 2006 Virus tour, the only comedian I've seen of any note is Vos. And I haven't been to a concert in 5 years. :(

I have seen Sabbath and Maiden though, which is pretty damn cool.

My first was was Saliva in 2000. My most recent was Black Dahlia Murder about a week ago.

There are so many in between I can't even remember half of them. I used to go to concerts every week at The Chance in Poughkeepsie.

My first concert was a Pennywise show I couldn't get into (sold out) in 1994. My last one was Dinosaur Jr about a year ago. Tho only other concerts I ever went to, I could count two hands. As for DJ's I have seen, jesus. Probably hundreds if not thousands. And for comedians, only a couple also. Lewis Black, and Bill Burr.

Well, let's just say my parents where hippies, and the first concert I remember Was Led Zep at the Coliseum in the mid 70's. I also was a roadie for about a year. I must have attended over 300 concerts in my life. My favorites include: Stone Temple Pilots, Metallica, Billy Joel, and Red Hot Chilli peppers.

Saw a lot of amazing concerts, a few once in a lifetime gatherings of musicians and shit. Not as many comedians.
Saw everyone when it mattered and will always try to.
Nine inch nails as a scrub opening act no one liked.
Nirvana before teen spirit blew up on mtv.
Saw stevie ray the day he died, jamming with buddy guy, eric clapton and robert cray.
Tons.

Seen lots of them also.
Probably most memorable because we had the best mix of friends and atmosphere.
Pink Floyd, RFK Stadium in D.C. 1994.
Second set started with "One of These Days" and a huge Pig flew around over our heads. Lookinig back im sure hoping I wasnt the only one who saw it.

Jesus, Jed! Why don't we all just post our OCD afflictions? :action-sm

Actually, wish I was better organized like that. I do have a box in the closet that has all my concert T's (that of course don't fit anymore) that go back to the early 80's. I've saved a few ticket stubs and pins and stuff too.

Here's mine just going off my memory and music folders on the computer:

Ronnie brought up Tom Petty who is obviously one of my favs this week since he's doing the Superbowl. They also talked about how they HATE when rock stars force the audience to sing parts of the song. He sort of attributed the gimmick to Petty doing Breakdown live way back when. I know I'm biased, but I LOOOOVE when he does that.

Here's a clip from one of the first concerts I ever attended, The 1982 US Festival in San Bernadino, CA. I had squirmed up to the front right (stage left) and could see backstage all the goings on. Before his set, and/or even during one of the songs, Petty was drinking Jack Daniels straight out of the bottle and was pretty hammered when he sang this song:

If you lived in the Bronx around these tours, we both went to just about the same shows for a few years. Howdy neighbor.

Yeah, yeah, I hear it all the time, especially living on Lawn Guyland. But I'm a country girl at heart.

Guess I shouldn't look this thread up when I come back from Nashville in June? Going down the week before CMA Music Fest but there's always something doing down there. Yeeee haaaawwww

I don't think I'll be able to remember my whole list (which admittedly isn't as extensive as most of you freaks'), but here's a partial listing:

- Jesse Collin Young at the Gorge, in Washington
- Billy Joel (1998), at the Syracuse Carrier Dome
- Aerosmith, with Candlebox, Nine Lives Tour, at the Albany Pepsi Arena
- U2 at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh
- Warped Tour 2002, in Rochester, NY (included Bad Religion and the Floggin' Mollys)
- Pearl Jam on the Binaural Tour at the Post-Gazette Pavilion near Pittsburgh
- Dave Matthews Band, '01, Buffalo Bills Stadium
- Rascal Flatts in Lexington, Kentucky (ex-girlfriend dragged me there and I hated it)
- John Mayer at Murray State, Kentucky
- Railroad Earth at the State Theater in Washington, D.C.

Comics:
- Lewis Black, at some historic theater in Louisville
- Doug Stanhope, at Louisville's Comedy Caravan
