This has 40% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it got me thinking. Do you think Back To School would have fared that much better on the tomatometer?

I imagine most of the old comedies wouldn't fare well if they came out now.

Blazing Saddles is the best true comedy of all time imo and I doubt it would get over 40%.

I think Revenge of the Nerds' score would be hurt by having the hero commit **** in a bouncy house to win the movie.

But I think the early Brooks films would get at least in the mid 70s.

I just watched High Plains Drifter. There are two grape scenes where Clint forces the women to have sex...but half way through they start enjoying it so it's okay.
That got me thinking though. Our entire civilization pre-1960, that type of thing was probably extremely common.

It ain't spoliation if it's supernatural violation.

Probably even later than that. But before that? Cripes.

In all of our lineages, there's at least one - and probably a lot more - rapists. Both in terms of non-consenual but culturally accepted and full on force.

It ain't spoliation if it's supernatural violation.

According to wikipedia, it did well with critics and grossed 100,000,000. Good box office for that time.

Because MoviePass and The Teacher was interested, I saw this. Holy shit is it terrible. Like, just... wow. Even the Teacher was like “I think that one scene where she was giving an oral report was supposed to be funny, but it just came off as awkward and embarrassing.”

That being said, I kinda got a bigger thing for Gillian Jacobs now.

That’s the chick from that Netflix show Love, right? She’s definitely hot.

Also known as the good ol days.

It's hard to imagine sex as a pleasant experience before the 1900s, with the lack of hygiene. Then again, we have 7 billion people on this planet, so it must not have been horrible.

Well everyone smelled like crap back then so you'd be used to it. I mean, think about how often you wore the same clothes without ever taking them off. You could probably go for a month on the trail without actually getting fully nude.

That being said, it's hard to imagine sex before the 1900s as anything but ****. Either that or some limpwristed Mr. Darcy not knowing a clit from a clock. Heathcliffe from Wuthering Heights though, he could pleasure a woman.

I also wonder how much Trail Gay there was. Because there had to be a lot of it.

The title of this movie would only be acceptable if they were making a new Weekend at Bernie's.

Then you're going to be really excited about A Week with Bernadette starring Rebel Wilson and Tiffany Hadish.
