Logan Levkoff, M.S., Ph.D.candidate

Candid Sexologist, Relationship Expert, TV Personality, & Advice Columnist

In a society where most topics are taboo, sexologist Logan Levkoff fills the void by encouraging honest conversation about sexuality and the role it plays in American culture. A recognized expert on sexuality and relationships, Logan works to create an environment where people feel comfortable asking (and getting answers to) their most personal questions. Logan makes it clear that sex and sexuality are not “dirty” words; they are words that should be discussed openly, without guilt or fear. Drawing upon over ten years of experience, Logan empowers children, adolescents, and adults to embrace their sexuality and challenge the impractical messages about sexuality that they are exposed to.

A modern day pioneer in sexual anthropology, Logan’s educational philosophy serves as a guide to sifting through society’s conflicting expectations of the expression of sexuality. Logan’s ease when speaking about topics, including sexuality, intimacy, relationships and sexual health, encourages parents, members of the media, and educators to sit up and listen.

Logan frequently appears on television including The Today Show, Oprah, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, VH1, MTV and E! providing candid yet informative insights. In addition to her on-screen appearances, Logan is often featured in other forms of media, serving as a trusted source for publications such as Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Esquire, Ladies Home Journal, Brides, and Men’s Health. She also penned the sex column for American Health and Fitness magazine, acted as the sexual advice columnist for Ellegirl.com and as the Adolescent Sexual Health Expert on The Sexual Health Network. Currently, Logan writes the sex columns for POZ magazine and MarieClaire.com.

In addition to print media, Logan is a dynamic speaker. She is a spokesperson for Trojan and serves on the Trojan Sexual Health Advisory Council, the Board of Advisors for Fitness and Maximum Fitness magazines, and Parenting Teens Online.

To further promote her sex-positive message, Logan has written a contemporary book for parents to help them to understand the role sexuality plays in their children’s lives. The book, Third Base Ain't What it Used to Be: What Your Kids are Learning About Sex Today and How to Teach Them to Become Sexually Healthy Adults [NAL/Penguin], will be available in October 2007.

Logan is dedicated to perpetuating healthy and positive messages about sexuality to people of all ages and backgrounds. She can speak on a wide range of issues, including issues of sexual health, trends in sexuality, relationship hurdles, and sex in pop culture and politics.

Logan Levkoff is an AASECT certified sex educator. She received her B.A. in English and her M.S. in Human Sexuality Education from the University of
Pennsylvania and is a doctoral candidate in Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family Life Education at New York University.. She lives in New York City with her husband and son.

There's nothing quite like a shorn scrotum.
Cute face but she's on the replay now and her voice annoys me. I guess I'd have to gag her.

In between shots of bourbon
...With a truck?

No, I think she's hot as hell. I don't really get why Opie was such a dick to her. I think he just hates people who write books.

Functioning Psychotic
he could be a sephardic jew. but Id guess that just she is
In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue, and the Jews were expelled from Spain.
Good point that her Hispanic husband could be Sephardic, but the name Levkoff is totally Ashkenazi.

Once O+A get to write their tell all book (and I finally learn what happened at Webster Hall), do you think Opie will still hate authors?

Personal Friend of Chris Jericho
It's not that they hate authors, it's just that most authors are very corny people. This woman was pretty good, but she was still pretty cheesy with some of the cornball jokes she was making. Very cutesy stuff. It comes off often as not being genuine, which obviously the boys and us don't enjoy.
I shot and edited a video with her a few times for Trojan...She's cute as hell in person and seemed pretty nice....I don't dig the whole "I'm an official sex doctor" thing though....I mean you get the girl drunk, nail her, and see whats on TV afterwards. Do they really need a doctor for this?..
