I'm trying to find out if this is on the schedule if this is the one I'm thinking of. I believe this is the documentary that appeared on HBO about the French filmakers who followed the fire department and caught the first plan crashing into the towers along with the office workers leaping out of the windows. This was so brutal I just want to see it again. I'm getting angry again with all of the coverage. Is this called just 9/11 because it's damn near impossible to find anything in the guides. Thanks.

It's a phenomenal documentary, and yes - that is the one you are talking about. It started as a documentary about a young fireman getting in to a NY firehouse, which happened to be the closest one to the WTC. I searched around and it doesn't look like they're airing it (unless they have it On Demand). Shame. It's easily the best 9/11 documentary out there by far.

Yeah, I remember it too, but I don't think it's airing anywhere. It was called 9/11. Very moving documentary. I recall they filmed from the lobby of 1 WTC and even filmed during and after the south tower collapsed. You literally got to experience what everyone in those buildings experienced as the first tower fell.

It's not easy to find, especially when you type in 9/11 documentary in a search...it seems like all the kooky conspiracy fucks pop up first.

That's really disappointing. With all of the shit showing up about 9/11 I thought this would definitely be on the list.

CBS is airing an updated version of the 9/11 doc tonight at 8:00 EST.
It's called 9/11: 10 years later, the description is
New, A 2011 update of Jules and Gedeon Naudet's 2002 documentary featuring footage of FDNY's rescue efforts at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, marks the 10th anniversary. Included; new interviews with firefighters (2011)
Maybe that's why they aren't running the original documentary.

Wow. Thanks for that. DVRing that for sure.

EDIT: Weird. The description in my guide is:

Robert De Niro introduces events marking the 10th year since the disaster; firefighter interviews.
That's why I couldn't find it earlier. Fuck you, Time Warner Cable.

Watching it now. They are airing it uncensored on CBS with limited interruptions.

Watching a little bit now. Should I be happy I saw a WOW sticker on a fireman's hat?

Fuck. This has got to be the fourth time I've seen this, and the emotions are still as strong. It really is a movie with historic significance. It perfectly captures a moment in time.

It's great. Did it get to the 2 brothers reuniting and kissing each other yet? It's probably the only time in history you don't want to call 2 french men kissing each other 'fags'.

Yeah, it's over now. And that is one of the roughest scenes in the entire movie. And you're right. Not a hint of gay.
