Anyone else watch this show? I saw the first two seasons earlier this summer on Netflix. Pretty good cop show. I think if it weren't for Idris Elba's performance it'd be just standard stuff. It's basically Alex Cross in London. The criminals get more and more sadistic as the series goes on and Idris Elba is the only one who can stop them.

I wish there was more of Ruth Wilson's Alice because her and Luther in scenes together are amazing. I guess she's busy though.

Oh, season 3 is airing this week on BBC America. 4 episodes in 4 nights. Started Tuesday so I'm late to the party guy.

If anyone knows where I can watch the first episode of this season, it'd be much appreciated.

It's great. Idris Elba plays Luther Vandross, the founder and spiritual leader of Lutherans. He kicks ass with his smooth lyrics and heroic opposition to the Vatican.

Just finished Season 1. It's awesome. Alice is very sexy. I like when a woman keeps her composure in all situations. It's a rare quality.
Well worth looking past the whole murdered her parents and the dog issue.

The second and third seasons aren't as good IMO but still very good.

There is a movie in the works that will supposedly be a prequel. Maybe it will explain his bitterness.

This is supposed to be the final season so I didn't really like the way it ended.

Late to the party guy. Three episodes in. Great show. Clever dialog. The least "British" British show I think I've seen. (which is a good thing)

Well, shit. Now I'm gonna have to watch this. It's been in my list forever, but I just never felt motivated to try.

Elba certainly carried the show. Alice was alright. Last few episodes had a couple annoying parts.

Added to my Netflix queue.
Watching The Wire on Amazon, so I can have Luther vs. Stringer Bell.

Is this Science fiction? In real life the UK is murder free because they don't own any guns.

Just a heads up - stay away from the Blu-rays. They edit two episodes at a time into movie length versions and hack almost 10 minutes off of each original episode. You lose nearly an hour off of the first season and more than half an hour off of the second.

The iTunes versions are hacked up, too.

Dear BBC,
This is why we steal shit.

I've only heard that on the US Blu Rays of Doctor Who it is sped up..never heard anything about editing.

Wonder if the Sherlock Blus have the same issue

Dear BBC,
This is not why I steal shit. I was stealing it regardless.

Watched the 1st 3 episodes of season 1. Pretty cool.
I think it's being pulled from Netflix streaming 2/1, so gotta hurry.

They're making an American version of the show now. Fucking amazing, Hollywood has zero ideas anymore.
